    I was working backstage on the Faith Hill & Tim McGraw tour when something happened that still doesn’t feel real… I walked into a massive garage full of tour buses — and there was Tim McGraw, alone, shooting hoops on a full-size basketball court he had set up backstage. Then he looked at me and said: “Hey man… you wanna play?” I froze. I wasn’t supposed to talk to the artists. I wasn’t supposed to stop working. And I definitely wasn’t prepared to play one-on-one with Tim McGraw. But I said yes. What followed was one of the most surreal moments of my life — missed shots, nervous laughs, full-court pressure, and the realization that Tim McGraw is actually really good at basketball. This episode is about the real kind of unsafe work nobody talks about — climbing rotten poles with no safety gear, cutting live triplex, and being thrown into situations where you’re expected to “just do it” even when your gut says you shouldn’t. It doesn’t stop there. I also tell the story of the time my boss made me climb a ladder standing in a swimming pool to change a light bulb — while two grown men held the ladder in waist-deep water.
