  • Education can unlock prison doors
    Dec 1 2022

It's been a little while between poddys for me, but today I talk to my new friend Marcia Miller. I met Marcia whilst holidaying in New Zealand recently. She is just one of those amazing people who is smart, caring, giving and blessed with good comedic timing and sarcasm. How could I not hit it off with her.

Marcia lives with her two cats and husband Tom in Illinois (USA). Up until recently she worked as an educator in a prison, bringing schooling to those incarcerated. She is now an administrator, but has not lost her teaching passion or the want to make a difference to her community.

Marcia speaks so fluently and intelligently about prisons and education, and the reduction in recidivism education can bring. I am sure you will enjoy this.

  • The Wondai Country Running Festival
    Jul 21 2022

After our epic Warwick Pentathrun hit, Heidi and I drag Phil and Leigh along with us to another running festival. This time we head to Wondai. The South Burnett area holds a special place in my heart and I not only got to run, but got to revisit some long lost loves and friends.

  • How will Andy be without Hamish?
    Jul 14 2022

In this episode it's just me again. Talking about the Warwick Pentathrun, a running event I did with some friends that consisted of a 4.6k cross country run, 21k road run, 5k road run, 10k hilly road run and a 1.5k road run. I also talk about my new cats Hamish and Andy and a bit of confronting news about one of my adult children.

I have been struggling to find my mojo, but I have a few people lined up to interview in the next few weeks so that should keep me motivated.

  • Kelly goes solo
    Apr 21 2022

It’s just little ole me chatting about stuff., by myself.

I look at some old Instagram posts and quotes and unpack the meaning behind them.

I am actually surprised I could talk that long about nothing really.

    Enjoy x

  • Bestfriends go op shopping!
    Apr 7 2022

Alright, I admit it, the idea of recording my best friend and I whilst op shopping together was done on a whim and it may not be the best audio, but by geez there are some pearler comments in this podcast. I actually surprise myself with what comes out of my mouth.

If you want a bit of mindless shit talk between two besties, well welcome to shit-talking-bestie-ville!

  • Grief; the lasting companion
    Mar 31 2022

Wow! What a great talk this one is.

I sit down with my new friend Katrina Preisler-Weller and we talk about our mums, both of whom have long since passed. And we talk about dying and death and funerals and how grief never leaves you, you just learn to live with it.

Grief of course doesn't always come along after the death of someone, it can be many things that cause you to grieve, the loss of a job, a change in life...

Katrina is so young at 27, but she is an earthly soul that makes you think she's been around a whole lot longer.

Katrina is the CEO and Founder at https://www.katrinapreislerweller.com. Katrina offers 1-1 grief coaching, workshops and key note speaking on grief and loss and it's impact as well as the tools and resources we can use to support our own natural response to loss.

  • A lesson for Ed Sheeran
    Mar 17 2022

This week I have 2.5 (ok 3) special guests.
Jo Doyle and Andy McLean are like Dayboro’s very own celebrity couple. Probably should call them Joey or Anjo….

What a fun podcast this one is. I should know I have spent hours trying to get it to sound just right.

We talk brain injuries, 50 first dates, running, music, love at first sight, what lessons Andy has taught Ed Sheeran about performing to live audiences en masse and scrub turkeys. We even get a snippet of a live performance from Jo and get to enjoy some of Andy’s own music.

My boyfriend Phil came along for this ride and had some nice things to add to this fun and very real conversation.

    Enjoy!!
