    Jul 18 2024

In this first episode, we specifically talk about who we are and what our intention behind this podcast is, as well as our individual paths towards spirituality and essentially learning how to not give a F*** when it comes to the things that come up in our lives (especially regarding life's minor inconveniences/things outside of our immediate control). We both have a lot of personal and professional experience with various psychological topics/struggles and have lots of wholesome ways in which we have built our friendships (like the road trip we took in this episode), so let this be the start of having you join us in all our shenanigans as you join us for this first ride/episode! • The Hard Truth Behind How Self-Love & Manifesting Peace, Freedom & Wholeness Works
    Mar 23 2024

Self-love and manifesting are often glamorized as picture-perfect things that you seemingly get with ease and time. The hard truth, however, is that TRUE self-love involves something else entirely. It involves stepping into your truest authenticity. Hence, in this episode, we’re going to dive into what that really means and why it is important that you do so…NOW because: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson Although the path may differ for every person, every successful journey starts with the commitment and intention to start. May this episode encourage and empower you to make one to yourself, in becoming your highest and truest self, by simply being ✨sincerely valiant✨ ----------- Note from Val to/for YOU: Dear listener, Whether this is your first time tuning in or you have been a long-time listener, THANK YOU for being here as a part of this community and a tiny part of my world. I took a break to focus on some life stuff that came up while trying to solidify the direction I wanted to take this channel. That being said, I’m back and beyond excited to get this season started and couldn’t be more grateful for YOU! Regardless of whether or not I know you personally or not, you are so welcomed and appreciated here, and I hope the light, love, and parts of my life that I share in any part of this episode help bring some hope and healing to anything you may be going through (or will go through). Regardless of how you feel or think about yourself, or whatever life circumstance may have presented itself to you, please hold on to the knowledge that you CAN and WILL get through anything that may come and are probably stronger and more capable than you think. You got this! WE got this! And I’ll always be cheering you on from the virtual sidelines! ♥️ - Sincerely, Val ----------- —If you want a little extra reassurance, love, hope, and light, be sure to follow the following accounts: Instagram: @highershelfpod or @valeriaminfante Email: thepsychtea@gmail.com YouTube: @highershelfpod Website: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/highershelfpod

  • Feeling a little lonely, anxious, insecure, unappreciated, or otherwise lost? Here's one for you ♥️
    Dec 8 2023

With the holiday season upon us, here’s one for anyone who may be in need of a little extra love, hope, and reassurance—whether that be now or in the future (for whenever you may be listening to or watching this), along with an additional note/letter from my heart (found below):

    ——

Hello friend, acquaintance, or just listener/watcher of this episode!

I know it may not be much coming from someone that you probably don’t know that well, but trust me when I say you are easy to love, hard to forget, and impossible to replace in this world and in the lives of the people whose soul you have touched (or will touch) with your inner light, heart, and general presence.

So, when things seem off or lost, please just do me one favor and never give up on yourself. The world needs you, and if you can’t or don’t want to do it for me, do it for past you (for everything they have endured) and/or future you (for everything they are waiting for you to become). One day, they will both be proud of this current version of you for sticking it through and following your heart/soul in all things. And I know times may feel or seem a little tough right now (if you’re going through it or whenever you go through it in the future), but one day, you will see why everything had to happen the way it did when it did. Perhaps this hard or rough time is helping you:

    • Solidify your relationships (either with other people and/or the greatest one you will ever have, which is the one you have with yourself/inner being/heart)
    • Overcome the fear or insecurities that come with facing the unknowns and uncertainties of life
    • Open your mind or heart to something you never thought you could do/be
    • Become the person that little/younger you (i.e., your inner child) needed or has always wanted
    • Take time to truly pause and reflect on your goals and general way of being (or who you want to be moving forward)
    • Boost your self-confidence, resilience, or just total awesomeness
    • Deepen your ability to love and truly empathize with others
    • Provide a little more compassion and love to the parts of you that may feel a little lost or unlovable for everything you’ve (and they’ve) been through and have still accomplished
    • Show the people around you (or those from your past) some gratitude for all of the experiences they brought (or continue to bring) into your life
    • Or simply there to teach you something new about yourself or your inherent gifts that you didn’t even know you had/have within you

Regardless of how you want to see or take it, please just never give up. Facing the unknown or uncertainties of life is scary, but you’re ok. We’re ok. And IT’s ok (whatever IT may be)—or is going to be—because you got this and have always had this, so, if anything, trust that and never give up on yourself. If you want to win, you must keep going so do that. And do it fearlessly and relentlessly because your dreams and desires are worth fighting for—or at the very least, sticking around for. They are out there and well on their way to you (as we speak). Don’t ever doubt that or yourself. ♥️

Sending you so much love and joy in the meantime, Val

  • Is Happiness a Choice? Here's How/Why it is (Kinda) & a Recipe for Peruvian Tallarines Verdes
    Oct 26 2023

A question that I often get is, "how are you so happy/positive?" It was a question that I often pondered and used to also ask myself whenever I encountered someone who just seemed to radiate love and positivity. A lot of internal work and various certifications later, I can now articulate the ways in which I "chose" to be happy (or at least, how I found that within myself) by discussing the specific theories that led to those changes within me and what psychology, sociology, philosophy, and spirituality has to say about the idea of happiness being a choice. The dish presented in this episode is also a fan favorite of mine, called "Tallerines Verde" (aka "Green Spaghetti"), which is a Peruvian pesto/pasta dish. For a more visual step-by-step guide for cooking it (beyond this video) and for more content, reassurance, love, and tips, check out our Instagram page! • Identifying a Lack of Self-Love with a Side of Banana Goodness!
    Oct 5 2023

Hey, y'all! In this episode, I talk about the signs I saw within myself that I later realized were manifestations/indications of a lack of self-love. Hopefully, by talking about these things, you can reflect on how they may be present in your life so you can then find ways to change how you may be loving yourself and, with that, how you may be showing up in the world, on your journey to your higher self! As always, we also include a dish from my top shelf--which, for this one, is banana bread (kinda)! So, whether you want to learn more about self-love or hear about a fantastic new health-conscious dessert recipe, you will want to stay tuned for this episode!
