The year was 1985. Bamba was rocking the 5th grade - KJ was a freshman in high school, navigating big hair, questionable fashion choices, and the greatest music decade EVER.

One of us was still on the playground. The other was making a mixed tape & prepping big hair.

The year was 1984. Bamba is 10. KJ is 14. It's the year of bikes, boomboxes and bad decisions! And the music was INSANE in 1984...mixed tapes rule, people.

We are stepping back to 1984-quite literally. Reading from a journal that KJ & all her classmates wrote in - it's a day in the life of a classroom in 1984!

And we never WILL hang up on 1983; it was an awesome year! Jamming to Toto's Africa, ripping sweatshirts like Flashdance-Good times. Bamba is 9 years old in 1983, and KJ is rocking 8th grade at 13 years old. It was a good time to be kid.

Bamba & KJ are catching up & unlocking the mysteries of the year 1982; KJ was in 7th grade and Bamba was still in elementary school, but things are rocking in 1982! From Thriller being released to Poltergeist scaring the heck out of us, to wearing neon colors & big ol' shoulder pads...1982 was pretty cool.
