  • Dakota Joshua Reacts to Jim Hiller Hiring & Leafs Fresh Start
    Jun 17 2026

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Dakota Joshua joined Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill for a wide-ranging conversation. He started by reacting to the hiring of Jim Hiller as the team's new head coach, calling it exciting news and noting he's heard nothing but positive things about Hiller from people around the organization.

Joshua also discussed the significance of change following a disappointing season, admitting the group fell well short of expectations. He said the fresh start brought on by organizational changes has been welcomed by the players, adding that everyone is eager to put last season behind them after it left a bad taste in their mouths.

The conversation then shifted to the Leafs winning the draft lottery and the excitement surrounding the opportunity to add a franchise-changing talent. Joshua also weighed in on the current mood around the team, the lessons learned from last season, and why he felt the urgency level never reached where it needed to be.

Additionally, he shared his thoughts on the trade that sent Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit to Philadelphia, admitting it was tough to see two close friends moved out of the organization. Joshua also opened up about the lacerated kidney injury he suffered, detailing the physical and mental challenges that came with the recovery process.

To wrap things up, Joshua set the record straight on William Nylander's viral middle-finger moment, revealing he didn't even see it happen in real time because his view was blocked. He also had a funny story about Craig Berube's bizarre barbell injury.

    Jun 17 2026

Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill kick off the show with Todd Minerson from Movember Canada to spotlight Men's Health Week and the importance of men's mental and physical well-being.

They break down another stellar performance from Artur Akhtyamov, Easton Cowan's game-winning goal, and what Toronto's playoff run says about the organization's prospect pipeline.

They also react to the Maple Leafs officially naming Jim Hiller as the team's new head coach. Nick and Rosie dissect the hiring, discuss why John Chayka and Mats Sundin landed on Hiller, and debate what it means for the future of the franchise.

Additionally, they break down Chayka's first trade as Maple Leafs GM after Toronto dealt Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit to Philadelphia. The boys weigh in on the return, what it means for the Leafs moving forward, and Chayka's comments on the motivation behind the move.

  • Hockey Illuminati on Marner, Rielly & the Leafs' Coaching Search
    Jun 16 2026

Nick Alberga and Carter Hutton are joined by Frank Crupi, otherwise known as the Hockey Illuminati, for a spirited discussion on all things Maple Leafs.

Firstly, Frank weighs in on the Toronto Marlies, who sit just two wins away from capturing the Calder Cup. From there, the conversation shifts to Mitch Marner's struggles in the latter stages of the Stanley Cup Final and his decision not to speak to the media afterwards. Frank asks the question many Leafs fans are wondering: is anyone really surprised?

The guys also dive into the constant Toronto-centric narrative throughout the playoffs, why the coverage felt so one-sided, and how different the conversation would've been had Vegas won the Stanley Cup.

After that, Frank shares his thoughts on Morgan Rielly's future with the Maple Leafs, explaining why he believes it's time for a change. The coaching search is also front and centre, with Frank discussing why Joe Pavelski intrigues him as a candidate. Finally, with the NHL Draft just 10 days away, the guys debate whether there's any scenario where Gavin McKenna isn't the Leafs' pick at No. 1 overall.
