    Revelation 2:23 KJV And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works As a Christian, if you end up in hell it will be because you didn’t listen to Jesus but the words of men who claimed to be speaking for Jesus. It is important you listen to the very words of the Lord Himself. There are all kinds of teachings, preaching and doctrines going around the church which sound nice but arent the truth. Salvation and grace don’t mean that the works and deeds of the Christian no longer matter. You were saved to live right. Salvation doesn’t only mean to be saved from the consequences of sin but also the very act of sin itself. Grace doesn’t mean live anyhow and end up in God’s Kingdom because Jesus paid for your sins. In the true sense of the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Lord Jesus died for the sinner and not the Christian. The Christian is what the sinner becomes after receiving the salvation of the Lord Jesus. This is why the Christian is a new breed, a new creature expected to live like how Jesus lived Righteousness by faith doesn’t mean your deeds no longer matter. Such a teaching is from hell. The things of Christ are very simple, don’t let people deceive you with big grammar. Paul says, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ......2 Corinthians 11:3KJV” James says, “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?......James 2:20KJV” The Christian faith without corresponding works is empty and vain and any Pastor who preaches so is equally vain and empty Most especially, the Lord Jesus directly to spoke to the church and said, “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.....Revelation 2:18-23KJV” He told the church, not unbelievers, not the world but Christians, “I will give unto every one of you according to your works”. Jesus Himself sees works and deeds to be very important There are those preachers who have told the church that when they sin they are automatically forgiven. They have termed it automatic forgiveness but in the oracles of the Lord Jesus to the seven churches of Asia Minor, He said repeatedly to the church “ Except you repent”. One of such is “Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds”. Are you a Christian and are committing adultery and fornication? Except you repent, you will end up in hell. Don’t be deceived” It is according to your deeds.     So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another The new covenant is a covering by love hence be careful how you treat your fellow brother or sister. It will come with consequences. In Christianity, we all have been joined to one body and have become members of one another. We have become responsible for one another. This is not an option but an obligation. This is what it suggest when you say I am a member of the body of Jesus. Many have not been taught, a reason for the problems that crush Christians. They don’t understand that Christianity was birth out of a covenant. The early saints at the Church in Corinth didn’t understand this very important truth and were treating the needy Christians among them with evil, the result of their action was that some got sick and died prematurely. You are a member of the body hence when you do evil to another member; that evil will find you out. It surely will In Christianity, a sin against a brother or sister is a sin against Christ “But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ....1 Corinthians 8:12 KJV” So the Bible says, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.....Matthew 25:40KJV” A deed done to a Christian Brother or Sister is a deed done to Jesus. Why? “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.... Ephesians What do we see in the Church today? We see Christians inconsiderate of the plight of others. It’s only about them and their family. We see Pastors living in million dollar mansions when church members are not able to afford even their daily needs. This is not Christianity, it is evil. The Master said, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep...John 10:11KJV” Good shepherds put the needs of the flock first before their own. This doesn’t mean that the pastor personally should have money to give but even in such a case, he is supposed to encourage the congregants to give towards such a righteous cause. Paul the Apostle did it many times. This is the meaning of true Christianity, a life where the other’s problem becomes your problem, his issue your issue. The early Church in Judea understood the meaning of Christianity that we are members of one another and responsible for one another so the Bible says, “And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. You are not going to prosper financially just because you pray to God, the same way a Christian is not going to be healed just because he prayed to God. The results are there to see. There are things you need to do. If you want supernatural prosperity, there are things you do. There are two kinds of prosperity, prosperity by labor and that by wisdom. “Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.......Proverbs 23:4KJV” There is prosperity according to man’s wisdom; it’s prosperity by labouring. Labouring, without satanic opposition may bring you to wealth. This is because there is profit in every labour. “In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.....Proverbs 14:13KJV” What labouring of Solomon brought him to affluence? None. It was wisdom; he gave an offering that pleased God “Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the LORD in the tent of meeting and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.............2 Chronicles 1:6-7KJV” Who said quantity doesn’t matter? It does....

Believe His prophets; so shall ye prosper...........2 Chronicles 20:20KJV” You will prosper if you will listen to the man of God. Paul the Apostle said, “as sorrowful yet always rejoicing; as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things................2 Corinthians 6:10KJV” The man of God knows how to make people rich. There are Christians who are stingy with God, as long as the amount they are giving doesn’t cost them they are willing to give. Never give God an offering, which doesn’t cost you. Tithe is not an offering; it is giving God that which is His. “And the king said unto Araunah, “Nay; but I will surely buy it from thee at a price; neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver......2 Samuel 24:24KJV” Let your giving to God cost you, it should mean something to you. Remember the widow’s mite. She gave God all she had “ And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.....Luke 21:1-4NKJV” She put in more than all the rich folks because she gave God that which cost her. 20 thousand dollars from someone may mean nothing to God but 1 dollar from another will. The question is, did it cost you? Be a giver, every Christian is supposed to be a giver. Give and receive 2 Peter 1:10KJV Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, Peter wrote to the Christians in the strange lands and said, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:” From the time that a sinner is born again till Jesus returns, who does he become? He is the elect. There is division among Christians and even ministers pertaining to the fate of Christians as it regards salvation. There are some pastors who teach that once a Christian is saved no matter how he or she goes on living, his salvation is secured. They even go on to say that if you find someone who calls himself a Christian continuously living in adultery and other forms of sins then he wasn’t and isn’t truly born again but just a church goer. We should be very careful not to preach sentiments and our opinions but the true gospel, the true gospel as preached by Paul, Peter and the earlier Apostles. Jude wrote to the Church and told them to strive for the true faith, which was once delivered by the earlier Apostles. Why did he say that? Because there were people who have crept into the church with damnable heresies. “Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and...

    Romans 8:15 NIV The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.”

    God hates fear, He is displeased with fear and doubt. This is because fear is a confession. You only fear an evil which you are subject to. Humans as omnivores don’t fear walking on land but that cannot be said of the fish. You only fear that which has a destructive effect on you. Fear is an expression of bondage. You don’t have to speak, the action speaks for itself. Why does God hate fear? A Christian fearing is a confession that God failed. You are saying that God lied when He claimed to have raised Jesus from the dead. You see the joy in God raising Jesus from the dead is not about the act of Jesus coming out of the tomb. There had been many people raised from death prior to Jesus. Even Elijah and Enoch didn’t die. It’s not about the act but what it signifies, what it translates to. The Joy of Jesus coming out of death meant man has been freed from death and the curse. The curse has no power over him. This is why you had to believe in and confess the resurrection of Jesus to be saved. Anyone who has not believed and confessed the resurrection of Jesus is not a Christian, it doesn’t matter how many times he or she goes to church or sing Christian songs. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved........Roman 10:9KJV”

    The Word “If” is very important. “If” is a particle of conditionality. Paul gives you the condition to be saved. After you have been saved, you become a living contradiction to go on fearing the curse. Many have gone to church for years but they have never been taught Christianity. They don’t even understand the meaning of the things they say in Church. They just say it because everyone is saying the samething. It is because of the Christian’s salvation from damnation and the curse that Jesus distinguished between the signs of the saved one and that of the damned. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.And these signs shall follow them that believe;...........Mark 16:15-17KJV” There is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. What you go to school to learn is knowledge not wisdom. Wisdom is spiritual; wisdom reveals the mysteries behind things. Science can reveal to you medical facts but you need divine wisdom to understand medical truths. Why do men live just to die? There is curse. All the things they naturally explain are not normal but a curse. Ask the Christian doctors, who created mosquito? Is it God or satan? If God created all things and hence created the mosquito, why does a mosquito feed on human blood? They were never taught in school because you need the wisdom of God to understand that. To fear is a confession that I am still in bondage to the curse and God will not accept that. It is to ridicule God’s perfect work in Christ. If you have been saved, why fear the curse? You are contradicting yourself. So they blame God and act as if it is the Word of God, which is not working when really it is due to the ignorance. He says,

    “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.....Hosea 4:6KJV” When something is destroying you or a loved one, don’t blame it on God’s will. Don’t be like the others. Seek for knowledge, go for wisdom. It is the lack of wisdom and knowledge that destroys God’s people.

This is just common sense for those Christians to understand that there is a beyond that you can lose your salvation. This does not in anyway downgrade the perfect salvation of the Lord Jesus The salvation of Jesus is perfect and more than able than able to keep the Christian till the very end but God also gave man his free will so the Christian can choose to return back to the former pollution. Actually Peter talks about such Christians and what awaits them, “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.......2 Peter 2:20-21KJV” Yes! The Christian can lose his salvation if he goes beyond the far beyond What does it mean to be a Christian elect? In the politics of this world, democratic states and nations vote to elect a new president. After the election, they count the votes to declare the winner. The winner is then referred to as the President elect. The time he is referred to as such there may be a sitting president who is waiting for his tenure to elapse so he can hand over power. The new guy is a president elect, he is not the president at that time. As a president elect, he still enjoys a lot of favours, respect and recognition. Not only that, the state according to the constitution has a responsibility towards him. He is given security and sometimes is moved to a new residence. The present president is even required by law to share certain information about governance with him. This is because the law recognizes that he will be taking over soon. The media accords him a great deal of respect when addressing him; he becomes the new king in town. He is even at that time respected more than the present president because they know that this is the one we are going to deal with for the coming 4 years or so, the current one will be going out soon. If the president elect happens to be from the same political party as the current president, you will see that even stooges begin to switch camps. Why? He is the president elect, the next to be commander in chief but even though he enjoys such privileges, the law very well understands that per the constitution, he is not the president. He has to be sworn in. In some jurisdictions, it may take at least a month from the time the votes are counted till he is sworn in. Now as the president elect is waiting for that great day if he goes on to commit murder, treason, felony or a misdemeanor, in a fair society where there is rule of law, he is not going to become the next president of the nation irrespective of being elected by the masses. It is the same for the Christian, God has elected you and it matters what you do and how you live till Jesus returns. Like the president elect, you have to stay put to make your election sure. When some Christians are dealing with satan and his devils, they consider them as zombies and this is why their faith sometimes doesn’t work. When the creator came walking on earth, he showed us that demons are intelligent beings. There are different classes of devils and some of them have an appreciable level of reasoning. They can think. Therefore when dealing with them, especially casting them out, you have to be aware of this truth that satan and his demons can reason. Let observe what Jesus said “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.Then he saith, ‘I will return into my house from whence I came out.’ And when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.....Matthew 12:43-45KJV” Who said to himself, I will return back to my former house because I am not finding rest? The demon did. he also reasoned, since he or she was able to get rid of me the first time I will make it harder this time, let me go and get seven other demons wicked than myself. This is tactics. Demons are tactical. Another important truth to consider is that though all demons are wicked, there are some more wicked than others because that devil said, I will go and get seven other demons wicked than myself. Now! All this was to say that demons are intelligent and cunning, if they can keep your line of thought in the senses, they will defeat you. First understand that, it is a total waste of time to ask God to deal with the devil, you are supposed to deal and cast him out. You can cry or beg as much as you want, God cant do anything. Remember that I didn’t say he wont, I said He cant. This is blasphemous, how can you say He God cant? This is the problem of many Christians, their lack of understanding of the calender of God and how authority works is what defeats them. Simply put, in this present time of God’s calendar, you are supposed to cast out devils, not Him. He has given you His Spirit, Name and Authority.You have all you need to deal with satan. Many times, casting out devils don’t work for some Christians and preachers alike because they get out of faith. When it comes to faith, the evidence is always the Word and not what you see or feel. As long as your casting out devils is based on sight and feelings, you will be defeated. When you say you are Christian, what it means is that you attest to the fact that God and His Word is truth and that it can’t fail. To deem that God’s Word failed is to call Him a liar and He God can’t accept that and He wont. There are Christians that when they cast out devils and don’t perceive any changes as yet in the senses, they will start questioning God and His Word. This shows that such individuals don’t understand faith. The fact that you can quote many Scriptures doesn’t mean you understand spiritual verities. When you say you are a Christian, you cant comeback to say that God’s Word failed. To question God and His Word is to call Him unfaithful. This contradicts faith. Faith deems God faithful. The Bible said concerning Sarah, “Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised...Hebrews 11:11KJV” Faith judges God and His Word as faithful and true. Therefore when you give out the command to that devil in faith, judge it true that it worked irrespective of what you feel or see. If a manifestation occurs, still judge God as true. The devil knows he has to go but will play around hoping you give up on the Word. James said, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.....James 4:7KJV” That word “resist” suggests that satan is allow to oppose you but you got to stand solid on the Word. Remember, he even opposed Jesus. Those devils are very proud, not that they are powerful than you. Therefore stand firm on the Word.     The second Adam Jesus, overcame where the first Adam failed. When you study your Bible, understand as a Christian that Jesus is not only the Saviour of man but also came to show how man is expected to live if his life will ever please God. The fact that you are a Christian doesn’t mean that how you act and behave pleases God. The Bible says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.... Romans 8:6KJV” Paul writes to Christians admonishing them not to be carnally minded because that will lead to death. Please, understand that this was not said to unbelievers but to Christians. Even though you are a Christian or a Pastor if you go on being carnally minded, it will lead to death. He goes on to give you the reason for that. He says, “ Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God...Romans 8:7-8KJV” The carnal mind can never please God. Don’t assume you will if carnally minded. The Bible says you can never. You can be crying, worshiping, quoting a lot of Scriptures but if carnally or fleshly minded, it’s a complete waste of time. You cant please God. Why? The carnal mind is not subject to the Law of God. The Law of God is the Word of God and the carnal mind cannot humble himself to God’s Word. God calls such people as proud. As a Christian you have to understand how God sees things. You can be a Pastor, always quoting Scriptures but still proud in the eyes of God. Your degree of humility is measured by the level to which you have subjected yourself to the Word of God, against all odds and the oppositions of the flesh and the senses. This is why God was so much pleased with Jesus. No wonder He Jesus was the Word in flesh. No matter what Jesus saw, heard or felt, He was always going to go with “it is written”. He was always going to go with the Word. This is wisdom. He wasn’t going to go with I heard, I saw, that was that other Pastor’s experience. Such are not wisdom. Wisdom will ask, “What is written?” Who are you to quote other peoples experiences when God has spoken? So do their experiences mean that God lied? Truth is not based on experiences but God’s Word. In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve didn’t stick to what God has said but moved into their senses and feelings, they fell. It was God’s Word against that beautiful fruit they could behold. Sadly, they chose the latter. Some Christians too are like that. When you quote them God’s Word, instead of them to consider that Word, they will rather quote back to you their own experiences or the experiences of another man whom they have held in high esteem. This also is not Wisdom. Why put man above God? Jesus in His temptation by satan will always respond, “It is written”. “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God...Matthew 4:4KJV” Jesus here is saying that man was created to live by every Word that God has spoken or speaks. You don’t pick and choose. Even in a situation that it was very difficult for the sensual and carnal Jews to agree, He Jesus will not backdown on what was written. “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken.... John10: 34-35KJV” The Master says that what is written is written, no contrary experience breaks the Scripture. The Scripture cannot be broken.     Paul the Apostle offered a moving prayer for the Christians at Ephesus saying, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,.......Ephesians 3:14-17KJV” This was not a prayer for unbelievers but Christians. Paul prayed for them so that Christ will settle down in them. These were people who already had the Holy Spirit in them. Somebody said, I have been a Christian for so long but really have not experienced the reality of the Christian life. Yes, it is because you have not allowed Christ to settle down in you. How do you know if Christ is completely at home in a Christian? Oh! Simple, there will be a complete transformation in such a person. How can Christ be settled down in a person and not see a metamorphosis? There will be a change, both moral and supernatural. His vision for life is surely going to change and how he responds to issues will be different Jesus said, “The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.......Luke 6:40KJV” You see, Jesus personally is in heaven and not dwelling in any Christian. He has a body of His own and is sited on the throne of God. The Holy Spirit in you is the one who brings the presence of Christ into you. He produces the same spiritual substance of Jesus in you and you become just like Jesus in every respect. But before that can be evident in the life of the Christian, he has to make room for the Holy Ghost. If we make room for the Holy Ghost, He will make room for Christ. This is what it means for Christ to be settled down in you. You can be quoting; “ Christ in me, the hope of glory” but it will all be just words. The Kingdom is not in speech, it is a vital thing. It is the empowerment by the Spirit in our inner man that brings about the outward expression and beauty of Christ in our lives. This is why you have to work on your Christianity so that Christ would be settled down in you. This is what Jesus meant when He said, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him...John 14:21KJV” The tangible manifestations of Jesus will only be possible when He is settled down in you. This is what Jesus meant when He said to the Laodicea Christians (remember that they were already Christians and had the Holy Spirit in them already), “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me...........Revelations 3:20KJV” There are many who have thought that this statement was to unbelievers. No! Jesus said this to Christians Jesus is still knocking at the door of many Christians, the door of their heart yet they keep on pronouncing “Christ is in me”. You have to make room for Jesus; you have to make room for the Holy Spirit in you. Making room for the Holy Spirit is not about space, it means to make room for His operation in your life.
