  • Laure, My Medical Abortion
    Nov 18 2024

After a 9-month hiatus, I'm back with an episode unlike any I've shared before. This time, the tables have turned: Sarah, who I interviewed a year ago, is now interviewing me as I share the deeply personal and emotional journey of my last pregnancy. At 14 weeks, I faced the heartbreaking decision to have a medical abortion after receiving results indicating a severe genetic disorder.

This episode dives into the raw, unfiltered ups and downs of my experience, the personal values and thoughts that shaped my decisions, and the importance of seeking support during such challenging times.

In today's sensitive political climate, I’m proud to share my story because it’s needed for women’s health to be heard. This wasn’t an easy story to share, and it may not be an easy one to listen to. If you’re not in the right state of mind, please take care before tuning in—it could be triggering. Therapy, along with the support of loved ones, was an invaluable resource for me, and I’m deeply grateful for the help that guided me through this journey.

Thank you for holding space for this story.
