    When we have an urgent, heartfelt need to know that there’s nothing we can do to bring about the results we desire, we begin to pray fervently and without ceasing. I suppose we can all point to a time in our lives when we poured our hearts out to God to avoid or be relieved of a terrible trial. I have had a granddaughter and a grand nephew, both of whom have had open-heart surgeries, and as a family, that prayed without ceasing for a healthy outcome to the surgeries.
