    Jul 24 2023

Episode 19 is about Major Joy Dasgupta, Sena Medal (Gallantry), 18 Grenadiers, Indian Army. An unstoppable story of an undaunted soldier who won 3 battles to accomplish his mission. Coming from the Indian state of Telangana and like the film 3 Idiots, Maj Dasgupta contributed thrice to his nation - twice as a soldier with both father and he being war heroes and once by rejoining the Army as an officer again during a national emergency. Episode 18 is about Lieutenant Praveen Kumar, Vir Chakra, 14 Sikh, Indian Army. A thrilling story of an unpretentious soldier who went about his battle very matter-of-fact. A third generation soldier and the first officer from his family, this wise, reliable, balanced, soft spoken but tough Army Officer surfaced as the only living legend of his state from his unit and regiment to be honoured with The Third Highest War Time Gallantry Award of India, for his professional competence, unparalleled and unorthodox tact during The Kargil War of 1999. Coming from the Indian state of Haryana and like the film PK, Colonel PK, VrC (Retd) is an embodiment of simple living-high thinking. When all the wars are done, a butterfly will still be beautiful.

Truth has various variables but we are conditioned to believe in one truth only. This storytelling show demystifies the aspect of heroism in real life which bares one's own soul with the nation's soul. Feel blessed to have been identified by Major Akhill to bring out the true story of my husband and his gallantry which was untold and forgotten by the world till this storyteller and ex-Army Officer came along. Loved the audio podcast in totality. Looking forward to Season 2.
