I share a warm family trip to Japan’s Chita Peninsula to celebrate my father’s birthday. We stayed at a beautiful ryokan with a private onsen (open-air bath) and a relaxing ocean view, and a special surprise during dinner made his 80th birthday celebration unforgettable. I also talk about local seafood, Himakajima Island, and my father’s very first Costco experience. A peaceful story filled with family memories and Japanese hospitality.
