Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio is a weekly podcast for action figure collectors who never really stopped playing.

Hosted by lifelong collectors Jon Sargent and Christian McGahan, the show covers action figures and collectibles from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and today, with equal love for vintage classics and modern lines. From WWE, Marvel Legends, and DC Universe Classics to TMNT, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, He-Man, and beyond, nothing is off the table if it belongs in the toy aisle conversation.

Each episode blends nostalgia, current hobby news, and real collector perspective. The hosts break down new reveals, recent pickups, and major moments in toy history, while also getting into group toy hunts, live drafts, secondary-market chaos, Whatnot sales, convention stories, and the way collecting actually fits into adult life.

This isn’t an instruction manual or a hype machine. It’s a hangout for collectors who’ve been doing this long enough to have opinions, stories, wins, losses, and shelves that tell a story. Sometimes the show goes deep on a single era or toy line. Sometimes it turns into a creative exercise about how and why we connect with these figures in the first place.

If you collect loose, mint on card, or somewhere in between, and if you enjoy talking toys with people who genuinely love the hobby, this is your spot.

New episodes every week.

  • Toy Collector Q&A | Best Figures, Worst Figures, Grails & Toy News
    Aug 17 2026

On this week’s episode of Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio, it’s all about Q&A, toy collecting, action figures, and the collector life.

We kick things off with a major toy room makeover after Jon tore down his sports displays and added two IKEA Billy bookcases, creating a ton of new shelf space for Marvel Legends, wrestling figures, vintage toys, and everything else that somehow keeps multiplying.

Then we dive into a full round of listener Q&A, answering questions about modern and vintage action figures, the most we’ve ever spent on a toy, figures we still need, the best and worst figures we own, wrestling collectibles, Marvel, collecting regrets, grails, and plenty more.

After that, we break down the latest action figure news, including new McFarlane DC Multiverse reveals, Mondo Street Sharks, The Tick, and other major toy announcements from the week.

Finally, we return to the Toy Soldiers for another round of questions, this time moving beyond toys into music, movies, road trips, podcast expenses, and the kind of nonsense that probably reveals way too much about us.

If you’re into Marvel Legends, WWE action figures, DC Multiverse, vintage toys, toy room displays, collecting, wrestling figures, 80s and 90s nostalgia, and action figure news, this one is for you.

  • Top Green Lantern Figures | Definitive Action Figure Versions
    Aug 10 2026

On this week’s episode of Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio, we’re counting down our favorite Green Lantern action figures just in time for DC’s upcoming Lanterns series, premiering August 16 on HBO Max. We dig into figures from DC Universe Classics, DC Direct, McFarlane DC Multiverse, and more as we try to answer one question: who is the definitive Green Lantern character and which figure takes the #1 spot?

Then we break down the biggest action figure news of the week, including the new McFarlane Harley Quinn figure, Ringside Collectibles’ Unsanctioned Tommy Dreamer, the return of Skeleton Warriors, Mondo Doctor Fate, and the record-setting collectibles hitting the auction block at Hake’s.

Finally, we debut Definitive Version Draw, where we surprise each other with characters who have decades of iconic looks and are forced to choose just one definitive version then pick the action figure that represents that version best. Ultimate Warrior, Wolverine, Batman, Predator, Michelangelo, Aquaman, Green Ranger and, somehow, James Bond Jr. are all on the table.

If you collect Green Lantern, DC action figures, Marvel Legends, WWE figures, TMNT, Power Rangers, Predator, or just love arguing about which version of a character is truly definitive, this one’s for you.

  • DC Super Powers Trivia | Marvel Legends Icons Retrospective
    Aug 3 2026

On this week’s episode of Mighty Champions: Action Figure Radio, we kick things off by catching up on our latest toy hunting adventures, Jon’s birthday weekend, and thoughts on Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Then Christian finally reveals a secret he’s kept to himself for more than 20 years.

Next, it’s time for a Kenner DC Super Powers Pop Quiz! Jon puts Christian to the test with trivia covering one of the greatest action figure lines of the 1980s, from rare figures and vehicles to surprising facts, aftermarket values, and the history behind the legendary Kenner collection.

Then we take a deep dive into the Marvel Legends Icons 12-inch line. Were these oversized Marvel Legends ahead of their time? We look back at every figure, what made the line so unique, why collectors have grown to appreciate it, and whether it deserves far more respect than it gets today.

Whether you’re into Marvel Legends, DC Super Powers, Kenner, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, vintage action figures, or toy collecting, this episode is packed with nostalgia, trivia, opinions, and plenty of laughs.
