In Luke 11:1-4, the disciples ask Jesus to them pray, and He teaches them via a prayer. Next, Jesus goes into using several illustrations encourage them and us not to be afraid to pray but recognize that God wants to answer our prayers. His resources are limitless, and He knows just how to answer your prayers.

Ever find yourself angry and frustrated at difficult situations and/or people? Ever find yourself struggling with dashed expectations or some injustice? Psalm 37:1-9 offers some encouragement and direction that can help you from becoming bitter and being the one to who truly suffers in the end.

Ever feel like a failure even though you have done your best? Would you say that you are your worst Critic? If you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ to save you, asking Him to forgive you and save because of what He did when He died on the cross, then be encouraged God is at peace with you. May this short podcast be an encouragement and reminder to turn your burden(s) over to Jesus Christ. He is at peace with you.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1 KJV).

Paul's prayer for the believers at Ephesus has the goal of knowing the love of Christ at its core so that we would be filled with the fullness of God. That is no small prayer, and yet it is something we can experience.

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is" (Ephesians 5:15-17 KJV). Walking the Walk as a faithful follower of Christ involves a focused walk. Be encouraged to make wise use of your time for the Lord.

"And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me" (Ps. 50:15). God wants us to call upon Him in difficult times. When He answers those prayers, there is no other response but to glorify Him. He is the One who can get it done!

Each of us runs in a race that the Lord sets before us as found in Hebrews 12:1 and 2. It is not about winning something since Jesus has already won our victory at the cross. It is more about growing in our faith. God wants to grow our faith, so run the race and watch what God does in your life.

From the Gospel of John 8:12, know that Jesus Is the light of the world and One with God. Know that it is impossible to walk in darkness when you follow Jesus Christ. Know that you won't ever come up empty because you will have the light of life, an abundant life, when you follow Jesus Christ.
