  • Ben Cooper Speaks To Ian McMillan
    Nov 22 2025
Every day poet Ian McMillan goes on an early morning stroll around his village near Barnsley and tweets about what he sees. On the other side of the Penines in New Mills, Andrew Brooks is up early taking photos. The power of social media got them together and they have an exhibition of photos from Andrew and words from Ian, 'The Songs The Morning Sang'. It has been shown at the Portico Library in Manchester and has now moved onto the Rock Mill Centre in New Mills. Ben Cooper went along to the opening and spoke to Ian McMillan.
