Come sit with my dad and I as we meander through five decades of wrestling stories. A lot got left on the cutting room floor - and he's probably going to have to be featured in another episode here pretty soon.

I'm blessed to have been introduced to this sport because of him and we talk about a great deal from Smith-Cotton Wrestling in the 1970s to his role in founding youth wrestling at Richmond, Boonville, and TIpton. We'll mention his high school tenures at Richmond, Boonville, Hickman, and Tipton as well and reminisce about one or two classified stories. Oh yeah - he hobknobbed with a lot of big names as a USA Wrestling coach in the 1980s and 90s.

The editing was rough on this one because - well...we both tend to talk and draw things out before finishing fast. I'll get better as my equipment improves. I hope you enjoy!

This is the first of hopefully many interviews with wrestlers and coaches in Missouri. This podcast is a branch off of the Central Missouri Wrestling Observer. While in-season, topics and coverage will focus on that region. Out of season, I want to talk about Missouri wrestling and bring out the stories that many today may not know or remember.

I selected Coach Hulsey because he is a great coach with an interesting background, and - more importantly - he is my friend.

This podcast is a work in progress. I hope to build to have better equipment and produce better sound and eventually videos, but for a first set-up, I think the interview went well - and I hope you do too.

You can find the Central-Missouri Wrestling Observer at the following locations:

• Facebook
• Youtube: @Cen-MOWO

Everything is bare bones now, but I'm hopeful to build it up.

Thanks for listening!
