Skyler Higley (Help Me Be Black podcast, Oscars, Conan!) is a DSP Podcast sibling and comes in to talk about going no contact with his adopted Mormon daddy. We talk about emotional incest, cheating fathers, reconnecting with bio family, being sealed to his family he’s no contact with in he Mormon Temple and therefore eternal heaven, building hammers, and adult abuse from their children being a real thing, and avenging ourselves.

Hannah Jones (Don’t Tell Comedy) is one of my oldest friends in comedy and comes on to roast my ass to death and talk about how her dad just never really fuct with her like that. We talk about daddy’s eating disorders, queers running coffee shops and thrift stores across America, how her last 5 flings have ended the exact same way, and Hay keeps putting their foot in their mouth and blames their 12th house in a really powerful way. Rachel Pegram (SNL) comes on to tell a story about getting cut off by a horse girl in middle school, and encourages Hay not to put so much of their current drama on the Patreon… yet. Hay unfortunately relates to Rachel’s middle school opp, Rachel shares the way ex’s will always find their way back to you via email, and we read an instantly legendary listener letter about a guy who loves Zyn.

Maxwell Esposito (Learn the Words B!tch) is a socialite and he’s Italian. He comes on to briefly mention cutting off his mom, stepmom, dad, but then really get into how he’s no contact with a lot of people he’s lived with. We talk about how he thoroughly knows the characters discussed in our previous ep with Danielle Perez (his show LTWB is a centerpiece of her story!) and what is means to be LA enough.

Jessica Michelle Singleton is an incredible 5’3 standup comedian and card carrying member of the no contact meth daddy club. She comes on to tell the story of her daddy going no contact with her at 8 years old at a Waffle House and how their relationship developed (and didn’t) throughout adulthood. We discuss fantasizing about buying our childhood homes, wishing we were raised by Reba, being dragged to AA as a child and the Christmas she’ll never forget.

This is the most fagg*ty episode yet. Dylan Adler (The James Corden Show) comes on to tell a story of a former roommate at NYU who cut him off - but before that we laugh for 45 minutes about a mutual drag queen friend in Tokyo, and after that we stop crying laughing to cover an actually very intricate multilayered human story about standing up for yourself in a majority white comedy environment in a very heartfelt moment. My alarm goes off throughout this entire episode because we had to record early (1pm) and Dylan keeps burping because he’s a top - if you’re an f slur you get it.

Ruby Karp (Veeps) is a multi-talent but I guess just not signing according to her… she comes on to share her experience at the world renowned performing arts school LaGuardia and what some might consider abusive (but effective….) tactics used on children to get the best emotional performance out of them. I never thought it was that hard to make a 14 year old cry personally but it’s great to hear how much thought went into it, particularly from one teacher who bullied Ruby from the first day of school.
