  • 003: Kennard Reeves | Adversity on Day 1, Growing up in Atlanta, Recruiting and SEC football, and having a POSITIVE Mindset
    Apr 25 2023

Kennard was born in Athens, Georgia and grew up in the Atlanta area. Kennard was raised by his father, who stepped up after being made aware of his birth. Sports and academics came natural to him, leading to several opportunities to play football at the college level. Kennard enrolled at Vanderbilt, but almost went to East Carolina after being hosted by Chris Johnson (CJ2K). He had an incredible welcome to college football moment at Michigan in the Big House . We talk about playing with and against many of the elite homegrown Georgia and SEC players of the late 2000s, such as Percy Harvin, Patrick Willis, Julio Jones, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, and many more. Kennard and I met while working together as consultants at KPMG and talked about the transition from athletics to the corporate world.
