    # 5 Johanne Ostad and Erin Kristine Pevan from the National Library of Norway, about the inclusion of the Darkthrone album A Blaze in the Northern Sky in the permanent exhibition of the National Library of Norway.

The permanent exhibition of the National Library of Norway contains what is considered the 30 most important artifacts of Norwegian cultural history. The first press vinyl version of the Darkthrone album A blaze in the northern sky is placed next to Edvard Grieg´s handwritten score for his concerto in A minor. The concept behind the permanent exhibition is that the exhibited artifacts will be important in a thousand year perspective. I choose to believe that Darkthrone prophesied the inclusion of the album in the permanent exhibition with the closing lines of the title track of the album: "We are a blaze in the northern sky/The next thousand years are OURS"

  • # 4 Me, myself and Varg Part 2: An attempt at a review of "To Hell and back again: My Survival Story" by Varg Vikernes.

#4 Me, myself and Varg Part 2: An attempt at a review of "To Hell and back again: My Survival Story" by Varg Vikernes.

My solo "difficult second episode". I'm still "walking around the porridge" in my own idiosyncratic way, but did I actually manage to do a review of the final chapter/book of Varg Vikernes' autobiography this time around? I guess there is only one way to find out.

My podcast method is improv and sloppy research. If there are any factual errors in this episode, let me know, and I'll include them in the show notes and credit you there if you want. Caveat: Only if the corrections are written in a contructive and non-douchy way. Comments and feedback via Messenger to Once upon a time in Norway podcast or onceuponatimeinnorwaypodcast@gmail.com

Intro: Cuntjunkies, "Bubblegum Satan" fra EPen Snuff.

Outro: Cuntjunkies: "Mankind no more" fra EPen Snuff.

To shamelessly toot my own horn, I use Cuntjunkies, the band I used to be the vocalist in, as intro/outro musick for this podcast series. https://open.spotify.com/artist/4jc79RRJKNQofheuD8kXGj?si=Mc3zTMeDQByQLZfFS1VD6A
