  • Yes!
    Jul 8 2024

In our conversation, we discuss our approach to a patient-centric approach to healthcare and the importance of saying "yes" to every patient's needs. The philosophy of always saying "yes" to patients, even if it means going the extra mile is paramount at One Health and we think it should be a pillar of the entire healthcare industry. It is not only our job but our duty to be advocates for our patients and ensure every one of them gets the care they deserve. At OneHealth, we aim to restore faith in the healthcare system through exceptional service by providing multiple touchpoints and flavors of saying "yes" – in-person visits, virtual visits, home visits, and more. We are in the business of prioritizing what's best for the patient, not just what's convenient. We are building a team and operations focused on delivering a seamless "yes" experience at every step of our patients healthcare journey.

  • Value: The Big V
    Jul 8 2024

In our conversation, we explore how OneHealth is reimagining primary care through a patient-centric approach and leveraging digital tools to enhance the sacred doctor-patient relationship. Specifically: The challenges posed by traditional electronic health records (EHRs) and the need to prioritize face-to-face interactions; OneHealth's mission to keep the doctor-patient relationship sacred and transformational. We will do this by going over the three non-negotiables for delivering exceptional care: maximizing longevity, providing the best human experience, and reducing suffering. This discussion also includes how digital tools should support, not hinder, the doctor-patient relationship as well as discussing the need to reinvent healthcare delivery by focusing on modern primary care and seamless integration with specialists and facilities. Finally, we will go over our vision for a healthcare ecosystem centered around helping people live longer, having the best human experience, and reducing suffering. These all play into one of our core philosophies which we call the big “V” or Value in healthcare. Instead of a transactional doctor's visit; our patients have an experience with our providers where they feel valued and heard.

  • Transactional Medicine vs Genuine Care
    Jul 8 2024

    Transactional Medicine vs. Genuine Medicine

Today we discuss the profound impact of adopting a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare, as opposed to the traditional transactional model. The transactional model treats patients as isolated cases, addressing specific symptoms without considering the broader context of their lives. Genuine medicine takes a transformational approach, viewing patients as whole individuals and addressing their physical, emotional, and social well-being. One Health emphasizes the importance of building long-term relationships with patients, fostering trust, and understanding their unique circumstances. We Integrate a team-based approach, with seamless collaboration between our primary care providers and specialists; which can significantly enhance the patient experience. We are embracing technology, such as telemedicine and electronic medical records, facilitating genuine care by enabling real-time communication and data sharing. We also discuss how addressing provider burnout is crucial to maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered healthcare system. This discussion underscores the need for a paradigm shift in healthcare, moving away from a purely transactional model and towards a more holistic, transformational approach that prioritizes the overall well-being of patients.
