• Yes!
    Jul 8 2024

In our conversation, we discuss our approach to a patient-centric approach to healthcare and the importance of saying "yes" to every patient's needs. The philosophy of always saying "yes" to patients, even if it means going the extra mile is paramount at One Health and we think it should be a pillar of the entire healthcare industry. It is not only our job but our duty to be advocates for our patients and ensure every one of them gets the care they deserve. At OneHealth, we aim to restore faith in the healthcare system through exceptional service by providing multiple touchpoints and flavors of saying "yes" – in-person visits, virtual visits, home visits, and more. We are in the business of prioritizing what's best for the patient, not just what's convenient. We are building a team and operations focused on delivering a seamless "yes" experience at every step of our patients healthcare journey.

  • Value: The Big V
    Jul 8 2024

In our conversation, we explore how OneHealth is reimagining primary care through a patient-centric approach and leveraging digital tools to enhance the sacred doctor-patient relationship. Specifically: The challenges posed by traditional electronic health records (EHRs) and the need to prioritize face-to-face interactions; OneHealth's mission to keep the doctor-patient relationship sacred and transformational. We will do this by going over the three non-negotiables for delivering exceptional care: maximizing longevity, providing the best human experience, and reducing suffering. This discussion also includes how digital tools should support, not hinder, the doctor-patient relationship as well as discussing the need to reinvent healthcare delivery by focusing on modern primary care and seamless integration with specialists and facilities. Finally, we will go over our vision for a healthcare ecosystem centered around helping people live longer, having the best human experience, and reducing suffering. These all play into one of our core philosophies which we call the big “V” or Value in healthcare. Instead of a transactional doctor's visit; our patients have an experience with our providers where they feel valued and heard.

  • Transactional Medicine vs Genuine Care
    Jul 8 2024

    Transactional Medicine vs. Genuine Medicine

Today we discuss the profound impact of adopting a holistic, patient-centered approach to healthcare, as opposed to the traditional transactional model. The transactional model treats patients as isolated cases, addressing specific symptoms without considering the broader context of their lives. Genuine medicine takes a transformational approach, viewing patients as whole individuals and addressing their physical, emotional, and social well-being. One Health emphasizes the importance of building long-term relationships with patients, fostering trust, and understanding their unique circumstances. We Integrate a team-based approach, with seamless collaboration between our primary care providers and specialists; which can significantly enhance the patient experience. We are embracing technology, such as telemedicine and electronic medical records, facilitating genuine care by enabling real-time communication and data sharing. We also discuss how addressing provider burnout is crucial to maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered healthcare system. This discussion underscores the need for a paradigm shift in healthcare, moving away from a purely transactional model and towards a more holistic, transformational approach that prioritizes the overall well-being of patients.

  • The Problem With Mobile Care
    Jul 8 2024

Today we explore a path towards achieving equitable and affordable healthcare for all. The importance of treating every patient equally, regardless of insurance status or socioeconomic background is at the forefront of our provider’s minds. We understand the limitations of temporary or mobile healthcare solutions and the need for sustainable, longitudinal care models. The economic and societal costs of the current fragmented healthcare system is something we separate ourselves from. Our patients mean everything to us and we do everything in our power to get them the care they deserve. We have a vision for a "big V" value-based care model that prioritizes quality, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness. The role of primary care-centric, patient-centric models in lowering healthcare costs and improving access is desperately needed in today’s healthcare system. The need for systemic change to create a more efficient, equitable, and sustainable healthcare system is needed now more than ever. We are taking the first steps to a new healthcare reality.

  • The OneHealth Pillars of Education and Integration
    Jul 4 2024

    Education and Integration

Today we dive deep into two of our eight pillars of One Health's approach to healthcare, emphasizing education, integration, and preventative care. The importance of educating patients on their health conditions, treatment plans, and preventative measures to empower them in their healthcare journey is non-negotiable for our providers. We ensure every patient leaves our facility with a complete understanding of their health situation. The need for integration between primary care physicians, specialists, and hospitals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care is evident in our healthcare system today. We as primary care specialists are advocates for our patients and spearhead their care by helping to navigate a confusing healthcare system. The value of preventative healthcare in promoting longevity and reducing the burden on the healthcare system is something we at One Health are very familiar with; it is our duty as your healthcare provider to not only make your day to day a better experience, but to increase longevity for our patients. The challenges of navigating the siloed nature of the current healthcare system is something no patient should do alone and the need for a patient-centric, integrated approach is what we fulfill for all of our patients.
