Kindness challenge: The "Serve the Need" Challenge For the next 7 days, make kindness automatic by replacing "How do I look/what do I get?" with "What's the need—and how can I serve it?" Once per day, pause in a real interaction (work or personal) and ask: "What's the need here?" Choose one small service action (clarify, unblock, encourage, simplify, or help someone succeed). Name the need out loud when appropriate: "Sounds like you need support/clarity/time—how can I help?" End the day with a 30-second reflection: "Where did service make things lighter today?" Inspiration and depictions of kindness in the world: Use Marc's Thought Model to Reset Your Mood When you feel angry, discouraged, or "off," run Marc's quick reset: Circumstance → Thoughts → Feelings → Actions → Results. Identify what's fixed (circumstance), then rewrite the thought you're attaching to it so your feelings and actions shift toward the result you actually want. Write the circumstance in one neutral sentence (no blame). List your thought, then ask: "Is there a more useful thought that's also true?"
