Seeing Jesus — Week 3

In this third message of the Seeing Jesus series, we go to Matthew 16:13–19 where Jesus brings His disciples to Caesarea Philippi, a place known as a spiritual stronghold, and asks the question that defines everything:
“Who do you say that I am?”

When Peter saw Jesus correctly, Jesus helped Peter see himself correctly. Revelation produced identity, identity produced authority, and authority released assignment.

This message explains what Jesus meant when He said:
“I will build My church”
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom”
“Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven”

The church is not meant to be passive. The Ecclesia is heaven’s governing body in the earth, called to confront darkness and enforce the victory of Christ.

From Luke 11:21–22, we unpack the reality of the “strong man” and why some spiritual resistance remains until believers operate in kingdom authority. Jesus Himself modeled how to overcome the enemy in the wilderness, giving us five practical keys:

1. Fasting
2. Prayer
3. Submission
4. Resistance
5. The Word of God

You were not saved just to attend church. You were saved to partner with heaven and advance the Kingdom of God in your family, your mind, and your city.

In Matthew 16:13–19, Jesus asks a question that forces a decision: “Who do you say that I am?” At Caesarea Philippi, in a region known for pagan worship and spiritual darkness, Peter receives revelation of Jesus as “the Christ, the Son of the living God,” and Jesus immediately responds by speaking identity and authority over him.

In this episode from the Seeing Jesus series, Pastor Aaron teaches the Kingdom pattern: revelation produces identity, and identity releases authority. There is a divine connection happening in this season.
