Don't put the cart before the horse....

You can' t be friends with your child until you have first become their parent. What will that friendship be about? What would be the point of reference?

If you parent right when they are young, however unpopular that makes you in their eyes, then you have something to be friends about when they become adults.

Don't be afraid to be the parent now!

Memories That Don't Go Away

I can't help wonder what would have happened if I'd told my sister what her boyfriend did to me. I also now play back in my head what my dad would have done if I told him about the "Man of God" he brought into our house. Would they both have given me a good lashing or would they have thrown those men out of our house?

Well, I'll never know now and it doesn't matter anymore. But you get a chance to hear the despicable acts of these men against a girl-child that was me.
