Born in Calais, he studied the arts and was later appointed educator of art at the lycée in Carcassonne. Over time, Patrick Robart and his work have become a part of the culture of the region. His subjects are his luscious surroundings: the hills of the Corbières, the lakes of the Montagne Noire, the beaches of the Mediterranean, the southern French markets, the Canal du Midi and the ancient Cité of Carcassonne.
