• Pauper to Prince - Kent Thompson | 15 Feb. 2026
    Feb 16 2026

In this gathering, Kent shares about Peak Vision’s birthday and staying within the theme (or word of the year) of the Kingdom, titled Pauper to Prince.

Part 1 - Peak Vision Birthday

Drawing from the Book of Zechariah 4:6–10, Kent reminds us (the Church) that although buildings require physical effort and force, what God is truly building happens by His Spirit. The concrete, the frames, the working bees — that’s our part. But the church itself?

That’s built by the Spirit of God.He challenges the church to measure effectiveness not by trends or comparison, but by seeking the Lord and asking, “What are we called to do?”. Kent speaks about sowing into moments where we encounter God. Breakthrough doesn’t happen accidentally. Sacrifice often precedes encounter.

Part 2 - Pauper to Prince

In the second part of the gathering, Kent shifts to a message titled...Pauper to Prince, teaching from the Book of Exodus 2 and the life of Moses.

Kent explains that before God used Moses to deliver a nation, He shaped his identity. Moses was drawn out of the water before he ever drew Israel out of Egypt.

    Deliverers are delivered first.

Kent draws attention to identity. If we see ourselves as powerless, we will live powerless. But if we understand we are sons and daughters of the King, we stand differently.

    Identity shapes courage.

He explores the tension that made Moses extraordinary — confidence and humility. According to Numbers 12:3, Moses is described as extremely humble; however, Acts 7:22 tells us that he was powerful in both speech and action.

True royalty carries both. As Kent puts it: shoulders back, knees bent.

Ultimately, Kent reveals the real secret of Moses’ life: intimacy. From the Book of Deuteronomy 34:10, Moses knew God face to face. The palace gave him an education.

The wilderness gave him intimacy. And intimacy produced authority.

  • Pit to Palace - Kent Thompson | 09 Feb. 2026
    Feb 9 2026

Kent then invites us to confront identity at a deeper level. Many of us live with a “poverty mindset” — shaped by shame, insecurity, scarcity, or past labels — rather than stepping into who God says we are. Through the story of Joseph, we see that faithfulness in every season qualifies us for more. Whether Joseph was in the pit, the prison, or the palace, he stayed faithful, used what God had given him, and carried God’s presence — and God caused everything he touched to prosper.---[learn more about peak vision]If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with them here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Vision:https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

  • Why is it so hard to share the Gospel? - Daniel Pearce | 01 Feb. 2026
    Feb 1 2026

To watch our full gathering with included worship and music, you can watch that here: https://youtube.com/live/3zu-5oTATJw

In this gathering, we learn from Daniel that being Kingdom builders means actually knowing our King and being willing to talk about Him. We’re reminded that sharing the gospel isn’t meant to be complicated, but it does require courage, intentionality, and a heart that’s alive to God.

Many of us genuinely believe in Jesus, yet still struggle to speak about Him in everyday moments — often because we’re busy, distracted, or worried about what others might think.

We’re challenged to recognise that the church isn’t a building or a leadership team — we are the church. Sharing the gospel isn’t someone else’s job; it’s ours. Daniel calls us to live generously with our time, our attention, and what God has entrusted to us, slowing down enough to truly see and care for people.

We’re also confronted with some honest reasons why sharing our faith feels hard:

    - We can be spiritually malnourished.

    - Very concerned with people’s opinions.

    - Unsure of what we truly believe (or disconnected from the power of the Holy Spirit).

The call is clear — personal revival comes from spending time in God’s presence, allowing Him to soften our hearts, and make room for the Holy Spirit, boldness grows naturally.

Ultimately, we’re reminded that we carry the hope of the world. Jesus is the death-cure, and we’re called to reflect His glory not only through our words, but through the way we live, love, and treat others. The invitation is to repent where we’ve grown passive, be filled again with faith and courage, and walk out ready to share the gospel — in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, and beyond.

  • Early Church Vs. The 21st Century Church - Sarah Pearce | 25 Jan. 2026
    Jan 26 2026

In this gathering, we’re challenged to move beyond just showing up to church and actually take stock of where we’re heading. Sarah invites us to lift our eyes, reflect honestly, and resist complacency, remembering that direction matters, and change doesn’t happen by accident.

By looking back to the early church, we’re reminded of what’s possible when God’s people are awake, committed, and willing to return to their first love.

Together, we’re called to remember, repent, and step into the kind of faith that brings real transformation to our lives and our region.

  • Word of the Year // The Right Place... At the Right Time - Kent Thompson | 18 Jan. 2026
    Jan 19 2026

We are back for 'First Sunday' after our Christmas and summer holidays. Kent shares the new Word of The Year, and kicks off 2026 speaking on - The Right Place... At the Right Time.

Thanks so much for hanging out.

    ---Chapters and Outline:

    00:00 Thoughts & Introductions

02:28 Part 1 – Word of the Year

Kent shares the new word for the year. (We have a new one every year). We learn that God calls us to live with a Kingdom mindset.

Being together in His presence keeps us nourished and awake, and lifts our perspective beyond small distractions. As we receive a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, we’re reminded that our words, our worship, and our lives shape the world around us. With reverence, awe, and focus on God’s purposes, we can step into the transformation He has for us and our region.

1:15 Part 2 – The Right Place… at the Right Time

In part 2 of today's gathering, Kent shares how God places us exactly where we need to be, with the people we need, for the purposes He’s called us to.

Obedience comes before abundance, and planting ourselves in the right place — even when it’s hard — unlocks His promises. Our destiny is often tied to the connections we make and the faithfulness we show, and when we say yes to Jesus, we’re truly in the right place at the right time.

  • Out Through & In | Part 3 - 18 May 2025 w/ Kent Thompson
    May 21 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/BTK3KZvREMAThis is a 3-part series; check out the earlier two.Part 1 | Part 2Kent shares in Part 3 a powerful message about the journey of faith—going out, through, and in—and what it really means to live in the freedom God has for us. He opens up about how success can sometimes blur our lines and even justify sin in our minds, reminding us that the real test of character often comes after the breakthrough, not before it.He gets real about his own journey, too. He describes deep personal hurt and how God began to heal that damage over time. Not all at once—some of it was immediate, but a lot of it was through the process. Through tears, worship, prayer, and honest moments with God, Kent says he began to feel that freedom. He talks about how spiritual baggage from past relationships can’t just be talked away—it needs to be broken off in the name of Jesus.Kent’s message is a reminder that we’re not just called to be saved—we’re called to walk in freedom, to take the land God has promised us. Whether it’s in relationships, identity, or purpose, there are areas in our lives that God wants to restore—but we have to partner with Him in it. That freedom is both a gift and a journey. That we’re called not just to survive the wilderness, but to thrive in the promise. And that even in success, the mission remains: know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.------

  • Strength (A Mother's Calling) - 11 May 2025 w/ Pania Thompson
    May 13 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/CudrVf4G69oPania shares about the real, raw, and beautiful journey of motherhood—both the highs and the hard bits. She starts by honouring all the Mamas, recognising the different roles they play and the deep sacrifices they make—not just in career or lifestyle, but in literally giving their bodies, time, and hearts to raise kids. She reminds us that mums are more than just caregivers—they’re emotional anchors, truth-tellers, and tea-makers, always there in the big and small moments of life. One big thing we learn from Pania is that stepping into motherhood—or anything meaningful, really—rarely comes at the “perfect time.” She encourages us not to wait for the ducks to line up in a row, but to take a step of faith. She reminds young couples not to be afraid to start the journey, because there will never be a perfect house, job, or bank balance.Pania also takes us through the story of Bathsheba to highlight Bathsheba’s strength. Even after pain, betrayal, and loss, she becomes the mother of Solomon—the one chosen by God to build the temple. Pania shows us that even in the messiest situations, God brings strength in purpose, redemption, and honour.------If you have joined us for the first time or you'd like to send our Pastors a message, you can say hi and share with us here: peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcomeLearn more about Peak Visionpeakvisionchurch.co.nz/explore

    May 6 2025

If you missed Peak Live and want to watch the replay of the live stream, you can watch that here: youtube.com/live/qcvmZZXDBWkKent shares part 2 of Out, Through and In. If you missed part 1, watch that here: open.spotify.com/episode/2nh3R9Qu6sv7QVlJ5gsPMK “The Way Through”—the often painful but necessary part of the journey between being set free (the way out) and entering into God’s promises (the way in). Kent reminds us that while the world encourages us to numb pain or escape struggle, God leads us through it, not around it. Just like the Israelites had to go through the desert after escaping Egypt, we too must go through seasons of refining, trusting, and character-building. Using the temptation of Jesus and the story of 80 year old Caleb, Kent emphasises that even when God calls us to something, for example, be it starting a business, moving countries, or raising a family, we often look for a way out when it gets hard. But God's method is always through—because that’s where growth, dependence, and sanctification happen. The call is clear: Don’t return to what’s familiar just because it’s easier. Don’t trade your promise for comfort. Trust God to take you through—because Jesus is the way out, the way through, and the way in.------
