At The Marigold Hotel, the guests are loud, the managers are overwhelmed, the toilets are always one bad decision away from disaster, and somehow the night shift still has to smile through it all.

Per My Last Shift is a sharp, deadpan audio comedy following Fin Liege, a quietly observant culinary student working the front desk of a once-glamorous hotel alongside her chaotic best friend Lowen, an exhausted housekeeping crew, an oddly prophetic maintenance man, and a rotating cast of guests who make every shift feel like a social experiment.

Set in the late 90s and inspired by the dry humor of Daria with the surreal cultural observations of Atlanta, the series blends workplace comedy, satire, and Black absurdism into bite-sized episodes about customer service, burnout, gossip, and surviving capitalism one shift at a time.

It’s just another night at the Marigold Hotel.

While Lowen falls deep into a global Yoopster chatroom full of hotel gossip, management horror stories, and hospitality confessions, Fin introduces her to “The Five-Star Fools” — the strange employees somehow holding the Marigold together.

There’s Lenny, the whimsical maintenance man who speaks in riddles and always has answers nobody asked for, and Shelly from housekeeping, who seems mysteriously immune to management discipline.

After Lenny bets that Piper won’t reprimand Shelly no matter what rules she breaks, Shelly decides to test the theory herself… with increasingly bold results.

Turns out surviving the Marigold might be less about following the rules and more about knowing who the rules were made for.

It’s New Year’s Eve at the Marigold Hotel, and Fin and Lowen are preparing for Day One of the new year—swapping out phone books, replacing calendars, and trying to survive the final overnight shift before midnight strikes. The vibe is easy, quiet even, until one of the Marigold’s long-term guests decides he can’t wait a few more hours for the updated phone book.

Against policy, Fin and Lowen give him what he wants, figuring it’s harmless and hoping to avoid unnecessary drama before the holiday. But by morning, the same guest deliberately reports them to management, leaving the two exhausted night workers reprimanded for a favor that should’ve never mattered in the first place.

Now, the first sunrise of the new year arrives with tension, betrayal, and the uncomfortable realization that at the Marigold, kindness and policy rarely survive in the same room

Welcome to The Marigold Hotel — where the guests complain professionally, the managers panic politely, the toilets fight back, and the night shift has seen entirely too much.

Per My Last Shift is a 90s-inspired scripted audio comedy following Fin Liege, a deadpan culinary student surviving hotel life one chaotic shift at a time alongside her best friend Lowen, an exhausted housekeeping crew, an oddly prophetic maintenance man, and a lobby full of people who should’ve stayed home.

Inspired by the dry humor of Daria and the surreal social observations of Atlanta, this indie audio series blends workplace comedy, satire, and Black absurdism into short episodes about burnout, gossip, customer service, and the strange things people do in hotels.

Clock in. Don’t touch nothing. And if it smells like outside… mind your business.
