If a house is on fire - the first thing you would do is not to find out whose mistake it was but to make efforts to stop the fire. And the same rule should be applied when our soul is on fire.
In case of anger - to reflect on your own mistake is like putting water on it and to externalise it to someone else is like putting petrol on that fire. Even if you are not able to link it to your present crimes, try and reflect over crimes that you might have committed in previous births and calm your anger down.
