  • Pinball Magazine & Pinball News PINcast December 2025 recap
    Jan 5 2026

As we bid a warm welcome to 2026, there’s plenty to look back on in the pinball industry throughout the final month of last year. So, Jonathan from Pinball Magazine and Martin from Pinball News are here to bring you all the details in the December 2025 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

The recent slew of new game announcements has been quickly followed up by the release of numerous accessories. From toppers to shooter rods, from lighting kits to backglasses, there has never been a wider choice of add-ons available.

The start of the year marked the fifteenth anniversary of Jack Gaurnieri’s launch of Jersey Jack Pinball. There have been many changes to both the company and the wider industry over the past decade-and-a-half, so Jack joins Jonathan and Martin to look back to the start of the company and how it compares now.

At the start of 2011 there was only one company actively manufacturing pinballs. Fifteen years later there are more than fifteen companies, with more poised to show their hands in 2026. Some upcoming titles are common knowledge, while others are still mere speculation. To start the year, Jonathan and Martin run down the known knowns and the known unknowns coming up over the next twelve months.

Then there are the results of the latest free game sweepstakes from Stern and Jersey Jack, production updates and order closing dates for games and accessories, a new collaboration for Pedretti Gaming, a rebrand for American Pinball together with the promise of new games soon, and lots of new code for titles new and old.

Pinball Expo dominates the news, of course, with a new game reveal at the show and multiple announcements about the imminent reveal of more new titles.

Barrels of Fun turned their new team member announcement into a new game reveal, with four Winchester Mystery House machines set up to play at Pinball Expo, even though they had already sold out all 525 units within a day of them going on sale.

Meanwhile, Spooky Pinball, Dutch Pinball Exclusive and HEXA Pinball all announced details of their next releases, even if they weren’t quite ready to show them yet.

Stern Pinball gave their Inside Connected All Access a boost, introducing new home leaderboards, free or discounted shipping, a factory tour and other perks for the $99 annual subscription.

Along with announcing the next DPX title and updating everyone on production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, company head Melvin revealed a series of character sculpts produced in collaboration with The Art of Pinball and Planetary Pinball Supply.

One of those sculpts is the Martian from Attack from Mars, originally created by pinball artist and new Pinball Expo Hall of Fame inductee, Doug Watson. At Expo, Doug got the chance to check out the new model of his creation and give his reaction.

Before that though, he was the guest on the What’s Cooking? With… segment, describing his preferred method of cooking salmon and asparagus.
