• The Soft Reset
    Jun 10 2026

What if the reason you feel stuck is not because your life isn't working, but because you think your only options are everything or nothing? Leave or stay. Change it all or change nothing. But what if there's another way?

Not everything hard needs to be endured forever. Not everything off course needs to be abandoned. Not every tenderness needs to become a lesson. Some things, they just need care. They just need honesty. Just need rest. And just need a little less noise and a little more room. Something just needed a version of you that is willing to stay, pay attention and respond with grace that is not black and white, that is deep in the gray.

I think that gray is helpful. I think gray is kind, kind to ourselves because it lets us be unfinished, kind to others, because it lets them be complex to kind of life, because it stops asking it to be simpler than it actually is. And maybe living more as ourselves does not come from mastering life.

On this episode of Plot Twist, we're talking about the space in between the pause, the re-calibration, the soft reset. Not starting over, not settling, just returning.

There's something I really love about the idea of a soft reset. Because maybe the plot twist is you don't need a new life, just a gentler way of living. The one you have.

That reset...is the beginning of a PLOT TWIST

  • The Curse of Living for Potential
    Jun 3 2026

This episode of Plot Twist, the curse of Living for potential is about the seduction of possibility and the price we pay when we build our lives around what could be instead of what is.

Some things are felt deeply. Some things stay in possibility and never arrive in form. And maybe that's a plot twist. Maybe the deepest plot twist of all is that a life can begin to feel more like your own the moment you start living for what could be, and allow yourself to be held by what is true.

And maybe another plot twist is this that the life that's quote unquote right for you will not require you to portray yourself in order to stay loyal to its promise.

This is an episode about the emotional cost of betting on future promise, the ways potential can keep us stuck, and what it means to finally come back to what is actually here at some point.

That breaking free...is the beginning of a PLOT TWIST.

  • Are You a Dopamine Hostage?
    May 20 2026

    Am I a dopamine hostage?
    Who is the captor?
    What if it’s me?
I have been sitting with these questions and the longer I do, the more uncomfortable I become! The elephant in the room is the ANSWER to those questions… the answers or truths that you would rather not face let alone say aloud.

What if the captor is the version of me that keeps choosing what feels good now over what would actually be good for me later? The part of me that wants relief more than growth. Comfort more than peace. Escape more than honesty.

Because that is the hard truth about instant gratification. It rarely feels dangerous in the moment. It feels deserved. It feels harmless. It feels like one scroll, one click, one snack, one excuse, one delay. But over time, those small choices start to shape a life.

And sometimes the cage we’re trapped in wasn’t built by some outside force alone. Sometimes it was built by our own repeated decisions. WE are our OWN CAPTORS. We are an active participant in this hostage situation.

And maybe the real question isn’t just, are you a dopamine hostage?

Maybe the real question is: when the door is open, why do you keep choosing the cage?

That realization…Is the beginning of a PLOT TWIST.

  • What Do the Yogis Know?
    May 20 2026

Some of us are not out there living our lives. We are pre-living the next problem. We are in a constant state of bracing. UNCONSCIOUS bracing which is its own unique flavor. Bracing is a form of hope distorted by fear. It says: maybe if I prepare enough, this will hurt less.
Your nervous system learned this from your history. Downshifting is is coming out of emergency mode long enough to remember who you are.
Welcome to “What Do the Yogis Know?” I’ve have never aspired to be a yogi. Respect all of you who are or are aspiring yogis. That said, there are really great benefits from doing yoga (other than flexibility) and I WANT what the yogis HAVE!

This is about the quieter thing underneath it – the possibility that the body knows how to hold on, and it also knows how to let go, but many of us have become so fluent in holding on that letting go feels foreign or not even like an option.

That quieting…Is the beginning of a PLOT TWIST.

  • I Was A Cactus
    May 20 2026

I was a cactus. The thing about cacti is that they are remarkable survivors. They learn how to hold what they need. How to make something out of very little.

And in the right environment they are beautiful. But sometimes the ways we learned to survive become so familiar we stop noticing them at all. The distance, the self-reliance the quiet ways we learned to get through.

    Not wrong.

    Not broken.

    Just ways we adapted.

And sometimes a moment comes along where you simply stop and notice the story you’ve been living, the shape you’ve taken, and decide what you want to hold, and what you want to let go of.

That noticing…Is the beginning of a PLOT TWIST.
