  • Should You Restart Your Podcast or Pick Up Where You Left Off?
    Jan 9 2026

If you’ve ghosted your podcast and you’re thinking about coming back, this episode is for you. I’m talking through one of the most common questions I hear at the beginning of a new year: do you restart your podcast completely, or do you just pick up where you left off? I’m sharing what I’m personally doing with Podcast That Pays, why I chose that route, and how you can decide what makes the most sense for your business, your capacity, and your goals right now.

    IN THIS EPISODE:

    1. Why there’s no “right” answer when it comes to restarting vs. continuing a podcast
    2. How your existing audience and RSS feed should factor into your decision
    3. When it actually does make sense to start fresh with a brand new show
    4. The importance of evaluating whether your old content and audience still align with your current business
    5. How capacity, enjoyment, and sustainability should guide your podcast strategy
    6. Why podcasting is a long-game platform—and why that matters if you’ve quit before
    7. An update on my new daily podcast, Press Play, and how it fits into my overall content strategy

Too many people relaunch their podcast without stopping to ask why they fell off in the first place. In this episode, I want you to slow down and make a decision you can actually stick with—one that fits your season of life, your business model, and the way you enjoy creating content. Podcasting can be an incredibly powerful asset, but only if it’s built in a way that works for you long term.

If you’re in the process of launching or relaunching a podcast, make sure you’re following along and choosing a strategy you won’t abandon six months from now. You can also come find me on Instagram @AngieMSpearman and send me your questions—if I can’t answer them quickly in a DM, I’ll turn them into a full episode right here.

And stay tuned: I’m opening a brand new Skool community where you’ll be able to learn all of my podcast strategies for just $11/month and connect with me in a deeper way.

Thanks so much for being here, and I’ll talk to you soon.

  • 41. Podcast Not Growing? Let's Fix That
    Jan 28 2025

Have you been podcasting and feeling like you’re not getting any traction? Maybe it feels like you're stuck, frustrated, or wondering why your show isn't growing the way you hoped. Trust me—you’re not alone. In this episode, I’m diving into why podcast growth often feels slow and overwhelming, and I’m giving you the game plan to turn things around.

Here’s What We Cover in This Episode:
    • Why Podcasting Takes Time- Building a podcast is a long game. It’s normal to feel impatient or discouraged, but success isn’t instant—it takes time, consistency, and effort.
    • The Importance of Honing Your Craft- You’re not going to be perfect right out of the gate. Podcasting is a skill, and like any skill, it takes intentional practice and learning to improve.
    • Setting Clear Goals for Your Podcast- Are you podcasting to grow your business, build a community, or something else? Knowing your goals will shape your strategy and how you measure success.
    • Getting Honest About Your Efforts- Are you doing everything you can to promote your show? From SEO optimization to leveraging collaborations and repurposing content, there’s always more you can try.
    • Staying Consistent- One episode here and there isn’t going to cut it. Consistency is key to building trust and keeping your audience engaged.

    Your Action Plan Moving Forward

Adjust Your Expectations: Accept that podcast growth takes time. Be patient and enjoy the process.

Plug Into a Learning Community: Whether it’s my podcasting community or another resource, prioritize learning how to improve your content, marketing, and strategy.

Implement What You Know: Start doing the things you already know to grow your show—consistently. This includes promoting your episodes, tracking your results, and trying new strategies.
