In this conversation, Tammy and Jessica discuss Jessica's definition of joy. Jessica believes that joy is a filter (interesting concept) and way of being. Jessica also asks this question of the audience, "What can you bring to a situation to make it better?"

She has worked with hundreds of clients in the weight management space and as a Nia Black Belt, she leads her clients through her signature process, Journey to Joy. She holds a Master's Degree in Teaching Biology and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Her vast and varied education makes her able to offer personal insights on a number of topics, but her favorite subject to speak about is, you guessed it, joy.

Tammy and Lauren emphasize the importance of having spaces that people can call their own and finding individuals they can identify with in order to have transparent conversations. The road to racial equality varies across different groups of people. It is important to make your voice heard and to give yourself a seat at the table.
