If you've spent any length of time in Christian Men's ministry, you know that sexuality is a hot topic. If you're not talking about work or family, you're most likely talking about how you're struggling with "containing" your sexuality.

As a single man, I felt so ashamed about my sexuality. To help address this, I spent 3 years in a Christian sexual recovery program. There were good days and bad days, and I learned a lot about myself and others during this time.

In this episode, I talk about my experiences in this group and why groups like this have benefits but are subtly damaging to one's self-image, and further infect others with copious levels of shame.

The purity cult of American Christianity: a religion terminally focused on avoiding accountability, abusing the vulnerable, and brainwashing its believers to believe a certain way in order "to be holy."

As a former evangelical of 30 something years, my hope is to talk about these problems candidly and openly in hopes it provides relief to my fellow humans. Whether you're an atheist, currently or have deconstructed, or a devout believer: I want you to live a full and healthy life.
