  • Environment Of Change_ Striving For The High Bar Part II
    Feb 27 2026
In this devotional, we focus on 1 Timothy 1:7 and the truth that God has given us a spirit of self-discipline. Self-discipline is essential for living a purposeful and intentional life. Biblically, discipline has two main aspects.
First, discipline is self-control: as we walk with God, the Holy Spirit produces self-control in us as one of the fruits of the Spirit. Second, discipline is God’s loving correction: when God corrects us, it is not to shame us but to shape us, because He loves us and is proud of us. The bar is set high on purpose. Choosing God daily and striving for a standard we often fall short of can be mentally and emotionally exhausting, but we are reminded in Proverbs 3:11–12 that “the Lord disciplines those He loves.”
We also looked at 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, where Paul talks about training his body so that every step has purpose. He is not “shadow boxing,” but living with clear intention. Likewise, when we choose the narrow road, we know it is hard—but at the end of that road is blessing, and God Himself. He isn’t only waiting for us at the finish; He is walking with us, guiding us, and giving us strength along the way.
Our part is to practice self-control and remain disciplined. And when we drift to the left or to the right, God’s loving discipline brings us back, keeping us on the narrow road that leads to Him.

  • Environment Of Change_ Striving For The High Bar
    Feb 26 2026
    (Based on Ephesians 4:14–16)
Environment of Change: Striving for the High Bar is a devotional for believers who confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and desire to model their lives after His teachings. Rooted in Ephesians 4:14–16, this devotional calls Christians to grow beyond spiritual childhood—no longer tossed back and forth by every new teaching, trend, or popular theology.
In a world filled with deceptive doctrines, including prosperity messages that treat God like a genie and blessings like something to be purchased, this devotional challenges readers to anchor their lives in God’s truth. It emphasizes the daily discipline of focusing on God, studying His Word, and applying it—even when we stumble, even when it’s hard, and even when the narrow road feels costly.
Environment of Change invites believers to reject shallow religion and spiritual shortcuts and instead pursue God’s high standard with courage and persistence. As we commit each day, “I’m going to live for God, and I’m going to strive for that high bar,” we learn that though the world may knock us down, lie on us, or try to discredit us, God remains faithful—raising us up, refining us, and building us together in love into the mature body of Christ.

  • Environment Of Change_ Plots Scheme and Counter-Measures Part II (1)
    Feb 25 2026
In this installment of, Plot Schemes and Countermeasures – Part Two we dive into Galatians 5:19–23 to uncover why people scheme, where their focus truly lies, and what it means to be lost. This devotional draws a clear line between two kinds of lives:
The person who is scared, hurting, and making bad choices because they don’t know God—lost and confused, but not beyond hope.
The person who knowingly chooses to disregard God and live by the desires of the flesh—embracing sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, hostility, jealousy, and all the works of the sinful nature listed in verses 19–21.
Galatians shows that living by the flesh doesn’t just lead to bad actions; it creates an entire environment of brokenness around us. But the chapter doesn’t end there. In verse 22, everything shifts: when we choose God and walk by the Spirit, our lives begin to produce something different—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren’t just traits we try to copy; they are the fruit that the Holy Spirit grows in us.
In this episode, we explore how a child of God can step into a chaotic setting and, instead of absorbing the chaos, become an agent of change. Because they are walking in the Spirit, they bring peace where there is turmoil, light where there is darkness, and stability where there is fear. This is what Jesus meant when He called us “the light of the world” in Matthew: light doesn’t adjust to darkness—light changes the atmosphere.
