• Environment Of Change_ Striving For The High Bar Part II
    Feb 27 2026
In this devotional, we focus on 1 Timothy 1:7 and the truth that God has given us a spirit of self-discipline. Self-discipline is essential for living a purposeful and intentional life. Biblically, discipline has two main aspects.
First, discipline is self-control: as we walk with God, the Holy Spirit produces self-control in us as one of the fruits of the Spirit. Second, discipline is God’s loving correction: when God corrects us, it is not to shame us but to shape us, because He loves us and is proud of us. The bar is set high on purpose. Choosing God daily and striving for a standard we often fall short of can be mentally and emotionally exhausting, but we are reminded in Proverbs 3:11–12 that “the Lord disciplines those He loves.”
We also looked at 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, where Paul talks about training his body so that every step has purpose. He is not “shadow boxing,” but living with clear intention. Likewise, when we choose the narrow road, we know it is hard—but at the end of that road is blessing, and God Himself. He isn’t only waiting for us at the finish; He is walking with us, guiding us, and giving us strength along the way.
Our part is to practice self-control and remain disciplined. And when we drift to the left or to the right, God’s loving discipline brings us back, keeping us on the narrow road that leads to Him.

  • Environment Of Change_ Striving For The High Bar
    Feb 26 2026
    (Based on Ephesians 4:14–16)
Environment of Change: Striving for the High Bar is a devotional for believers who confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and desire to model their lives after His teachings. Rooted in Ephesians 4:14–16, this devotional calls Christians to grow beyond spiritual childhood—no longer tossed back and forth by every new teaching, trend, or popular theology.
In a world filled with deceptive doctrines, including prosperity messages that treat God like a genie and blessings like something to be purchased, this devotional challenges readers to anchor their lives in God’s truth. It emphasizes the daily discipline of focusing on God, studying His Word, and applying it—even when we stumble, even when it’s hard, and even when the narrow road feels costly.
Environment of Change invites believers to reject shallow religion and spiritual shortcuts and instead pursue God’s high standard with courage and persistence. As we commit each day, “I’m going to live for God, and I’m going to strive for that high bar,” we learn that though the world may knock us down, lie on us, or try to discredit us, God remains faithful—raising us up, refining us, and building us together in love into the mature body of Christ.

  • Environment Of Change_ Plots Scheme and Counter-Measures Part II (1)
    Feb 25 2026
In this installment of, Plot Schemes and Countermeasures – Part Two we dive into Galatians 5:19–23 to uncover why people scheme, where their focus truly lies, and what it means to be lost. This devotional draws a clear line between two kinds of lives:
The person who is scared, hurting, and making bad choices because they don’t know God—lost and confused, but not beyond hope.
The person who knowingly chooses to disregard God and live by the desires of the flesh—embracing sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, hostility, jealousy, and all the works of the sinful nature listed in verses 19–21.
Galatians shows that living by the flesh doesn’t just lead to bad actions; it creates an entire environment of brokenness around us. But the chapter doesn’t end there. In verse 22, everything shifts: when we choose God and walk by the Spirit, our lives begin to produce something different—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren’t just traits we try to copy; they are the fruit that the Holy Spirit grows in us.
In this episode, we explore how a child of God can step into a chaotic setting and, instead of absorbing the chaos, become an agent of change. Because they are walking in the Spirit, they bring peace where there is turmoil, light where there is darkness, and stability where there is fear. This is what Jesus meant when He called us “the light of the world” in Matthew: light doesn’t adjust to darkness—light changes the atmosphere.

  • Environment Of Change_ Plots Scheme and Counter-Measures
    Feb 24 2026
In this environment of change, Psalm 37:12–17 reminds us that those who align themselves with the world instead of with God are constantly plotting and scheming against God’s people. Their hearts are set on defiance—against God Himself and, therefore, against those who belong to Him.
Yet God is neither threatened nor shaken by their plans. Scripture says He “laughs” at them, because He sees the outcome of their foolish choices. Their weapons, strategies, and alliances are ultimately powerless against His will.
For God’s people, the call is to stay focused on the true goal: serving God, trusting His justice, and walking in their divine purpose. Rather than being distracted or intimidated by ongoing opposition, believers are to rest in the assurance that the schemes of those who persist in defying God will not succeed. This passage highlights both the emptiness of evil plots and the security of those who stand with the Lord.

  • The Environment Of Change_ Knowing The Game Part V
    Feb 23 2026
In this final part of “Knowing the Game,” we return to Daniel as his enemies plot against him because he has found favor with King Darius and is about to be placed over the entire empire. Unable to find fault in his work or character, they attack what they think is just his “religion,” manipulating the law to make his worship illegal. But that’s where they miscalculated: Daniel wasn’t simply following religious rules; he was living by faith. His ops were playing a political game of power and control, while Daniel was playing an entirely different game—faithfulness, obedience, and trust in God. Even when the environment changed and the cost of prayer became the lion’s den, Daniel stayed consistent. And because he lived by faith, not just by religion, the outcome was inevitable: God vindicated him, exposed his enemies, and turned a trap into a testimony.

  • The Environment Of Change_ Knowing The Game
    Feb 19 2026
This devotional builds upon God’s command in Joshua 1:7–9, moving beyond understanding into application. While God calls Joshua to be strong, courageous, and rooted in His Word, Part 2 explores what that obedience actually looks like in the life of a believer when tested in real-world situations. Through the lens of Daniel 1, we see a powerful example of faith in action. Daniel is placed in a foreign culture that opposes his beliefs, pressured to conform and compromise. Yet instead of reacting with defiance or drawing attention to himself, Daniel responds with wisdom, humility, and quiet confidence in God. He does not “perform religion”—he lives out his faith. By proposing a simple challenge rather than creating conflict, Daniel demonstrates that standing firm in God does not require aggression, but conviction. At the end of the test, Daniel’s obedience produces visible results—he is stronger, healthier, and set apart not by force, but by faithfulness. This devotional reminds us that knowing the Word (Joshua 1:8) and standing firm in it (Joshua 1:7) leads to a life that naturally reflects God’s presence (Joshua 1:9). “Knowing the Game – Part 2” challenges believers to understand that being set apart is not about trying to fit into a world that opposes God, but about faithfully walking with Him in such a way that your life becomes the evidence. It’s not about blending in—it’s about believing boldly, living wisely, and trusting God to handle the outcome.

  • Environment Of Change_ Knowing The Game
    Feb 18 2026
This devotional drawn from Joshua 1:7–9 that reminds believers that courage is not built from nothing — it grows from what God has already placed within us. While verses 7 and 8 highlight remembering God’s teachings and staying grounded in His Word, they serve as encouragement rather than mere obligation. God was showing Joshua that he already possessed the experience, wisdom, and preparation needed for the journey ahead. The true command comes into focus in verse 9: be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid, and do not give up. This devotional emphasizes that walking the narrow path is challenging, but we are never unequipped or alone. By remembering what God has done before and remaining anchored in His Word, we gain confidence to face change, overcome fear, and move forward knowing that God goes with us wherever we step.

  • The Environment Of Change_ Missing The Signs Part II
    Feb 17 2026
Bible devotional rooted in Luke 12:54–56, where Jesus rebukes the crowd for recognizing the weather but failing to discern the spiritual times. In this second part, we explore why we continue to miss God’s warnings and guidance: we’ve become too comfortable blending in with the world instead of being set apart for Him.
This devotional exposes how “small” compromises—cursing those made in God’s image, treating fornication and other sins as normal because they’re common in our culture—slowly dull our spiritual sensitivity. What the world calls normal, God calls us out of. As long as we measure ourselves by the standards of the world, we will keep missing the signs God is placing in front of us.
Through reflection, Scripture, and honest self-examination, “Environment of Change: Missing the Signs (Part Two)” invites believers to step out of worldly conformity, live by God’s standards, and sharpen their ability to discern the spiritual “weather” of their lives.
