  • Damn You Hollywood: Primetime (2026)
    Sep 29 2026
Tonight on Damn You Hollywood we are reviewing Primetime starring Robert Pattinson. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, the film turns Chris Hansen and To Catch a Predator into a story about journalism, entertainment, and ambition. Hansen’s televised stings made him famous, but the pursuit of a Texas prosecutor who never came to the sting house ended in tragedy and raised questions about how closely a news crew should work with police. Pattinson plays a man who believes he is doing good even as ratings, recognition, and the need for a bigger catch shape his decisions. How much of that portrait is documented, and how much is the movie’s invention? We discuss the performances, the film’s uneasy visual style, its treatment of the real Bill Conradt case, and the line between exposing wrongdoing and turning punishment into a spectacle. Join us as we ask whether Primetime has something useful to say about media ethics, or whether its own appetite for drama gets in the way.

  • Triple Feature: Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story/Weird - The Al Yankovic Story/CB4
    Oct 6 2026
Tonight on Triple Feature we're looking at music biopic parodies, Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story, Weird The Al Yankovic Story and CB4. Walk Hard takes decades of musician mythology and stuffs it all into Dewey Cox, a man who experiences seemingly every triumph, tragedy, addiction and reinvention available to a recording artist. Weird takes the opposite approach, turning the famously mild life of “Weird Al” Yankovic into the kind of sex-and-drugs melodrama Hollywood thinks a music legend requires. And CB4 follows three aspiring rappers who discover that talent isn’t enough when audiences are buying authenticity, so they manufacture a gangster mythology to sell along with the music. Together, the films raise a question that goes beyond parody: do music biopics keep telling the same story because Hollywood lacks imagination, or because fame, money, excess and insulation keep producing different versions of the same life? Tonight we’re following the music, the mythology and the machine that creates both.

  • Damn You Hollywood: Digger (2026)
    Oct 6 2026
Tonight on Damn You Hollywood we are reviewing Digger starring Tom Cruise. Directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Digger casts Cruise as Digger Rockwell, a fabulously wealthy oil magnate whose business empire has helped create an environmental catastrophe. Convinced that he is uniquely capable of fixing the crisis, Rockwell sets out to save the world while protecting his fortune, his reputation and the story he tells about himself. Cruise trades the controlled action-hero persona of his recent blockbusters for prosthetics, dark comedy and a character built around ego, ambition and the belief that enormous power makes him indispensable. The supporting cast includes Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons and Emma D’Arcy. Tonight we’ll discuss Cruise’s transformation, Iñárritu’s direction, the film’s satire of wealth and corporate power, and whether Digger successfully turns one of the world’s biggest movie stars into the punchline of his own apocalyptic comedy.

  • On Trial: The Social Network
    Oct 9 2026
Tonight we're putting The Social Network, directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin, On Trial.
Released in 2010, this biographical drama stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, and Armie Hammer as the Winklevoss twins.
In 2003, 19-year-old Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg turns a campus social experiment into Facebook, eventually building a multibillion-dollar empire while alienating friends, attracting lawsuits, and redefining human interaction.
But beneath the story of technological innovation lies something more troubling: male insecurity, social status, the objectification of women, and the commodification of human relationships.
Sixteen years after its release, does Fincher's examination of ambition, betrayal, and digital validation remain a masterpiece of modern filmmaking, or does its dramatization of real events undermine its credibility?
Join us as we put The Social Network On Trial.

  • Sessions Vol 2: YOU Season 1 (YOU Are Not Your Trauma)
    Oct 12 2026
Tonight on Sessions we're taking our season 1 review of YOU and turning it into a hard rock song about oversharing and trauma dumping called, "YOU Are Not Your Trauma."
What started as a favor to a friend went sideways: a conversation about Joe Goldberg and Paco turned into three grown men unpacking their childhoods on a public podcast. One confession led to another, and suddenly the host was running an impromptu group therapy session instead of reviewing television.
Daniel Goleman's Social Intelligence helps explain why. Emotions spread, vulnerability invites vulnerability, and other people shape what we dare to say. But there's a difference between connection and cornering someone who only asked how your day was going.
We take that tension—dark humor, damaged attachments, learned survival habits, and the possibility of change—and put it to guitars. You can carry what happened to you without letting it become everything you are.
This is a safe space. Public on the internet.

  • Sessions vol 2: The Banshees of Inisherin (While We're Still Living)
    Sep 25 2026
Tonight on Sessions we're taking our discussion on **The Banshees of Inisherin **as well as the meaning of friendship and turning it into an Irish speed folk song in the style of Fiddler's Green. At the center of the conversation is a simple but uncomfortable question: what happens when the people who matter to us slowly drift out of our everyday lives? Sometimes friendship doesn’t end with betrayal, anger or a dramatic break. Sometimes jobs change, families grow, people move, routines disappear and suddenly the room is quieter than it used to be. From there, we look at the way songs, traditions and shared rituals keep people connected across time and distance. Then we take those ideas and turn them into “While We’re Still Living,” a manic pub anthem about calling your friends, making the plans, raising the glass and refusing to let the people you love become memories while they’re still here. Because friendship, like a good folk song, survives when people keep showing up to perform it together.

  • Damn You Hollywood: Resident Evil (2026)
    Sep 22 2026
Tonight on Damn You Hollywood, we are reviewing the 2026 iteration of Resident Evil by director Zach Cregger. Austin Abrams stars as Bryan, a medical courier whose routine delivery becomes a fight for survival when Raccoon City collapses under an Umbrella Corporation outbreak. Rather than retelling the story of Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, or another familiar game protagonist, Cregger builds an original story running alongside the events of Resident Evil 2 while attempting to preserve the pacing, tension, and survival-horror experience of the games. We’ll break down the story, performances, creature work, action, horror, and the choice to put a new character inside a familiar world. We’ll also examine how this version compares with previous Resident Evil adaptations, whether changing the story while preserving the feel of the games is the right approach, and what the film’s reception could mean for the future of video-game adaptations.
