Susan Sloate: Forward to Camelot, A Time-Travel Thriller

Susan Sloate is the bestselling, award-winning author of 26 published books (fiction, young adult fiction, nonfiction, biography, sports, and history).

With Kevin Finn she co-authored Forward to Camelot: The Final Edition, a time-travel thriller about the JFK assassination, which was re-published in 2013 as the 50th Anniversary Edition before its current 2024 edition. (Recently declassified documents confirm Susan and Kevin's original theory about the identity of the assassination planner--who appears as a major fictional character in the novel.)

Bruce devoured FORWARD TO CAMELOT. “I’ve been obsessed with John F. Kennedy since 2013.” Susan, “I started the journey when I was six, when Kennedy was assassinated. For years and years, it was in my mind.” She was reading about it.

In 1992, Susan saw Oliver Stone’s film, JFK. “It was terrific. Amazing. Afterwards, I was all churned up, thinking why did this happen? It didn’t have to happen. People knew it was coming. It shouldn’t have happened. And I wanted to somehow make it better.”

At her writer’s group, she wrote the beginning pages of what would become FORWARD TO CAMELOT, whose co-author, was in the group. “When you had a story problem, Kevin could figure out what was wrong. I dragged him into the story and said, I can’t finish this without you, and we ended up collaborating.”

“The driving force was to take this event that was so tragic [JFK’s assassination] and so affected American history and somehow make it better.”

“We’re very proud of the research because it didn’t just deal with the events of the assassination or the big names associated with the assassination. We also went into Kennedy’s life, his administration and everything that was going on there, and we discovered (and put in the book) an enormous amount of new material that no one had ever seen before.”

“We decided early on, and this was a big part of the entire thing, to make Lee Harvey Oswald [SPOILER ALERT] the hero of the book, because based on everything we saw, that was truly the role he intended to play. After publication, I sent a copy to the woman who was Oswald’s lover in the summer of 1963, Judyth Vary Baker.”

“She’s a friend of mine,” Bruce said.

“Good! After she read it, she said this is exactly what he was. This is the person that he was. That made me so happy because this is what I was trying for. People are constantly surprised, asking, you mean, Oswald’s not the bad guy?” Correct. “Anything to try to repair his reputation in history, that matters to me.”

James DiEugenio: JFK’s Anti-Imperialism, The Antidote to Our Times

James DiEugenio is one of the most respected researchers about the assassinations of the 1960s, about which he has written or co-edited many books.

He also wrote the screenplays for Oliver Stone’s documentaries, JFK REVISITED: Through the Looking Glass and JFK: Destiny Betrayed. And he and Mr. Stone testified before Congress in 2025 about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The coverup of what JFK was doing “is more systematic and rigid than the coverup about his assassination.” Exposing that coverup “has subsumed” Jim since 2013.

“You have to understand what he was doing in order to understand why they killed him and how they did it – at high noon, in broad daylight, on a city street, with three hundred witnesses. He was trying to stay true to the ideals the United States was founded on,” the idea that all nations should be free and independent and able to prosper with their own resources and become strong enough to trade with the world and protect themselves from being conquered or controlled by other nations.

ABC emailed Oliver Stone after their Congressional appearance, and “that’s how we got roped into that godawful ABC special [Truth and Lies: Who Killed JFK?]. That’s how powerful that hearing was. The mainstream media felt they had to counteract it.”

This conversation was held on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Bruce, “We owe President Trump gratitude because we intended to discuss JFK’s anti-imperialism and of course, the news this morning is …”

Jim laughed. “That’s exactly what I thought this morning. When I saw that headline [about the kidnapping of Venezuelan president Nicholas Maduro], I said, Wow. Bruce could not have asked for a better lead-in than what just happened. Trump sending in American commandos, to another country, setting off explosions in the capitol as a distraction, and then kidnapping the leader of the country and his wife, and then going on TV and saying that we’re going to run the country in the interim. Could you get any more of a contrast [between JFK and Trump]?”

“JFK had two sterling opportunities to take over Cuba, and he didn’t take advantage of either of them,” the Bay of Pigs disaster of 1961, which taught Kennedy that the CIA and the top military men could not be trusted. (He fired the top people at the CIA.)

Bart’s recent appearance on THE DANNY JONES PODCAST (on YouTube), where he debated Apollo astronaut Charles Duke for four hours. Bart was a super-fan of the moon landings when he was young, “with a shrine of Apollo pictures that followed me everywhere I went since childhood.” He was invited to make a film about the deception. He found compelling evidence that the landings were faked.

“If they faked the moon landing, and they did, that’s more significant historically than if they had actually gone. The most powerful nation on earth falsified mankind’s greatest boast. Russia and China are blackmailing us about it. Now Elon Musk says, in order to go to the moon, you’d need seventeen fuel trips in order to escape earth gravity. The Apollo rocket had nothing close to that capability and that’s why they destroyed all the diagrams, all the schematics, all the original videotapes, all the original telemetry, which is the last thing you would do if you really went but the very thing you would do if you faked it.”

Telling the truth is redemptive and cathartic, liberating and empowering, the first step toward healing grievances and reestablishing trust, something desperately needed in the world today, especially here in America, the nation that could do the most good if it would repent of its lies and criminal acts.

People were killed to keep the lie of the moon hoax going. A greater act of courage and repentance and redemption than the United States government telling the truth about the moon hoax can scarcely be imagined.

Dr. David W. Mantik: JFK Was Killed by Consensus

David W. Mantik, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist who received his doctorate in physics from the University of Wisconsin and then did a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University. For over 40 years, he has treated cancer patients with x-rays, electrons, and protons. In 1993, he examined the JFK autopsy x-rays and photographs at the National Archives on four separate days. He determined that the three skull x-rays are copies and each has been critically altered, with one change done specifically to incriminate Lee Harvey Oswald.

Interview highlights:

David was always interested in the JFK assassination. “November 22, 1963, was a very a dark day in American history.” He knew of the objections of Dr. Cyril Wecht, who later became a very good friend.

But David got angry at historians after seeing Oliver Stone’s film, JFK, because we didn’t seem to know what happened or why Kennedy was killed. That anger fueled his desire to find out what happened.

David wrote the Kennedy family attorney, Burke Marshall, for permission to see the items in the National Archives. Once granted, David spent nine full days in the Archives and did an unprecedented study. Contrary to the official story (that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone), David found that three bullets struck Kennedy in the head, two from the front (in the right forehead and, most likely from the Grassy Knoll, in the right temple) and one from the rear.

The temple shot caused the big exit wound in the right-rear of Kenney’s skull seen by many at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. David said the forehead shot more likely came from the railroad overpass that Kennedy’s car was approaching.

Research indicates that the Zapruder film of the assassination was quickly altered. (The unaltered original could have shown that JFK was hit in the head by multiple shots.)

There are also five or six reports of people seeing a film a lot like Zapruder’s but different, which shows the limousine turn onto Elm Street and then limousine stop in the kill zone, neither of which are seen in the Zapruder film. In JFK WAS KILLED BY CONSENSUS, David explains why he suspects this second film was made by the CIA.

The assassination was a plot that included more than just elements of the CIA. The military and intelligence communities were very opposed to JFK and his desire to make peace with the Soviet Union and work with them to go into space together. “He was like an alien to them.” They literally thought of him as a traitor. They thought they were patriots, saving the country from JFK.

The first part of David’s book is about who pulled the triggers. Thousands of marksmen for hire could have been the culprits. David shows pictures of four possible shooters, and he lists many others.

The second part is more important: who issued the orders to kill JFK? David presents a rather long list of suspects and emphasizes that they were not strangers to each other. Their relationships are what allowed the assassination to happen.

For instance:

… General Edward Lansdale and Major General Charles Willoughby, who was chief of military intelligence for General MacArthur during World War II and the Korean War. Lansdale and Willoughby were involved in the discovery of Yamashita’s gold, tons and tons of gold, which was used for dozens of intelligence operations around the world. It is very likely that Lansdale was in Dealey Plaza on November 22, and “there’s a pretty good hint that Willoughby was there, too.”

Gerald Pechenuk: To Trump or Not to Trump

Gerald Pechenuk is a long-time political activist and supporter of the Lyndon LaRouche movement. He has been a key player in California’s MAGA movement since 2022 and is an elected member of the Alameda County Republican Party Central Committee and a delegate to the California GOP State Convention.

Gerald says that Trump is fighting the globalists who want to destroy our economic independence and sovereignty. Bruce says that Trump works for those globalists, who use our corporations and major institutions to enflame us against each other, to distract us while impoverishing us and enslaving us and the world in ways technological, social, militaristic, and economic.

We also discussed England’s recapture of America for the purposes of empire: to extract wealth from the world by keeping other nations poor, creating internal strive, installing puppet regimes, starting wars, and invading them when necessary in order to control and profit from the sale of their natural resources.

Keeping Russia and the United States from being friends is a huge part of that plan. Both are resource-rich lands with freedom-loving impulses that have aligned in the past, with Lincoln and FDR and then with Kennedy. As friends they could once again pursue the goals of freedom; they could empower all nations to industrialize and prosper and become strong enough to defend themselves from bully-nations like England.

Reality with Bruce de Torres 70: Reflections on 9/11

On 9/11, 2025, I spoke at the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance’s 21st Annual Film Festival (sf911truth.org).

Breaking news, I felt, was shared by retired firefighter Captain Raul Angulo, a 38-year veteran of the Seattle, WA Fire Department who authored the textbook, Engine Company Fireground Operations, 4th Edition, has instructed internationally, and is a core member of Firefighters for 9/11 Truth.

He said that training manuals are being revised to include the possibility of high-rise collapse, to conform with the lie that WTC Building 7 "collapsed" due to office fires. That is dangerous and outrageous, he explained, because it will change and inhibit what firefighters will do, making them less effective and putting civilians more at risk.

I called my talk “Reflections on 9/11.” Here is the gist of what I said. Enjoy.

What happened?

What does it mean?

What could/should we do about it?

What happened was that many people found that the government and media lied about what happened. Many people wrote books, made documentaries, spread the word, and organized to spread the word and protest. I wrote a book, GOD, SCHOOL, 9/11 AND JFK: The Lies That Are Killing Us and The Truth That Sets Us Free. (Read the amazing reviews at brucedetorres.com.)

Now Senator Ron Johnson and other prominent people are also exposing the lies. Senator Johnson especially should be contacted, maybe every month, with encouragement and urged to launch a new investigation. When enough of us of clamor for the truth, perhaps enough of our representatives will be moved to help.

What does it mean?

Like Lincoln said, “If we could first know where we are and whither we are tending, we could better judge what to do and how to do it.”

I say that 9/11 means that we are no longer America.

Stories are often told in three acts. The beginning, middle, and end. In Act 1, we meet the hero and their nemesis. Then something happens that throws the story into Act 2, a big adventure. A big challenge. In The Wizard of Oz, it’s the tornado. Act 2 ends with the climax, not the end of the story. The meeting or confrontation that throws the story into Act 3 and to the end. In The Wizard of Oz, that’s when Dorothy douses the Witch and she melts and then Dorothy makes her way to the end, when she goes home.

America’s Act 1 was the founding, with the nemesis being the British Empire, whose loyalists resisted our industrialization and development, to maintain the colonial economy of wealth and resource extraction. They are well represented by the secret society at Yale University, Skull and Bones, formed in 1832. The Civil War and the assassination of Abraham Lincoln threw the story into Act 2. That generation was wiped out and wounded, allowing a generation or two of Skull and Bones members and their kind to capture our government and society in service to the British Empire’s goals of subjugating and exploiting other countries.

A must-read book about that is by Anton Chaitkin called Who We Are: America’s Fight for Universal Progress, from Franklin to Kennedy, Volumes 1 and 2. (He’s writing Volume 3 now.) Many resisted and tried to keep America working for the improvement and elevation of not only the American people but also other nations, so no nation or empire could subjugate or exploit another.

Reality with Bruce de Torres 69: On Love and Anger

I see outrageous crimes/headlines pushing aside wonderful news (prominent people calling for new 9/11 investigations; vaccine truth and accountability prominently surfacing) and I wonder, coincidence? Or conspiracy?

Twenty years ago, I started researching such things. Obsessively. I've leveled off lately. Seeing intention and causality, not random evil and chaos behind much that happens affects us differently. I can still be horrified, angered, and saddened by things. But I am not surprised. And, after years of agonizing about intentional criminality and fraud, there is a power and peace when we choose our personal intentions. The satisfaction is sublime if not divine when one intends love and caring and compassion, the intention to help, which creates a new thing in the present moment, which makes every moment the beginning. A new world to explore. With beauty and joy to discover and new things to create.

Crimes should be solved and people brought to justice. But we can do even that with the idea that nothing's wrong. Nothing's missing. We choose what to be and do. If we choose goodness and helping and healing and love, we can enjoy even the pursuit of justice. We must practice those intentions on calm days so we can most quickly remember them when struck by tragedy. We do not want to fall into an abyss of grief and confusion. Sometimes we do. But we can prepare ourselves by talking about such things, like this.

We must not hate and want to kill haters and killers. Find criminals, yes. Indulge hate? No. Hate kills us. It corrodes our insides, and we corrode others when we share our hate. The anger and hatred on mainstream and social media are turning too many of us into habitual angry haters. Life is short enough. We need not shorten it by hating. We need not destroy life's joy by falling into the habit or the addiction of hate and anger.

It's not easy to recognize or deal with habitual anger or hatred. There's nothing automatically easy about being a human. But all of history, personal stories, and daily observation shows that love is the answer. Love is the way out of the black cauldron of hate and anger and loneliness. Love for oneself. And love for others. Each leads to the other. Because love is magic, because love is the eternal essence that has become you and me and all we see and all that's ever been and all that ever will be. This is a school we must attend until we learn the lesson of love. Then life becomes bliss. Then we can imagine that we came back (many say) after many previous lifetimes in order to improve the quality of our love and consciousness, and to help others learn the lesson of love and improve the quality of their love and consciousness.

One must try to live like this for many days and weeks and years for it to be true for a person. One must get back on the horse many times after falling off the high of bliss for life and bliss for all others. It takes what it takes. Often getting older. If we know and feel this, we have an obligation to explain this to young people, to give them hope; some tips to help them along the way. We each get to choose how we would like to feel, what we would like to think, what we would like to say, and what we would like to do. All we feel, think, say, and do are gifts and creations that we give to ourselves and others. We can think whatever we want. We must have conversations to collaborate and share physical reality and not think ourselves into delusions and conflicts. Love is the home for all of us.
