About this listen

Hi! We’re Alyssa and Chauntae- best friends, moms, and your new favorite coaches helping women rebuild their body, health, and identity after kids. Alyssa is a homeschooling mom of two girls (1.5 and 4.5) and a certified Fitness Trainer, Nutritionist, and Sleep, Stress & Recovery Specialist. After years in boutique fitness management, she traded her business suit for early mornings, homeschool lessons, and the title of “CEO of her home.” She believes motherhood is the greatest leadership role a woman can step into. Chauntae is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Law Enforcement Wife and mom to a two-year-old boy. With certifications in Functional Nutrition & Metabolism, Pre & Postnatal Coaching, and Fitness Training, she helps moms rebuild their bodies, health habits, and mindset to create true generational health. Together, we created The ReBuild Podcast! A show about the messy, in-between season of motherhood- that awkward bridge between who you were before kids and the woman you’re becoming now. It’s about releasing the old “girl boss grind” and stepping confidently into your role as the feminine leader of your home. Each week, we talk about sustainable fat loss, routines for the whole family, fitness, and the systems that build strong homes because our choices become our children’s environment. • Why Does This Feel So Hard? Rebuilding Your Identity and Life After Motherhood
    Mar 2 2026

Today we’re unpacking a question so many moms quietly carry: why does this feel harder than it should?

Motherhood doesn’t just change your schedule. It changes your brain, your hormones, your nervous system, your identity, and how consistency actually works.

👉🏽Why does your old routine suddenly stop working?

👉🏽Why does the “what’s for dinner” question feel overwhelming at 4PM?

👉🏽Why can you love your kids deeply and still feel like you lost part of yourself?

In this episode, we break down the identity shift after kids and the tension between ambition and presence. We talk about decision fatigue, sleep deprivation, and hormonal changes so you can understand what’s biology and what’s a systems issue.

    We cover:

    • Why your discipline didn’t disappear your environment changed
    • How sleep loss impacts mood and decision making
    • Why movement and balanced meals protect mental health
    • How simple planning reduces mental load

    • What we learned from Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff about integrating kids into adult life

  • What Most Mom's Are Not Allowed To Say
    Feb 23 2026

Today we’re unpacking a topic that hits close to home for a lot of women: why someone else’s routine, success, or lifestyle can feel like a personal attack even when it isn’t.

    👉🏽What does privilege actually mean?
👉🏽Where is the line between structural access and personal responsibility?
👉🏽And why do certain posts or routines trigger shame, comparison, or defensiveness?

In this episode, we dive into the real story behind “perfect routines,” the emotional meaning we attach to what we see online, and how comparison can quietly shape our identity, energy, and decisions.

    We talk about:

    • The difference between modeling and shaming
    • Privilege as a spectrum- not a binary
    • Personal sacrifice vs systemic barriers to wellness
    • Why shame often comes from interpretation, not intention
    • Emotional reactivity and how to respond instead of react
    • Letting information exist without making it mean something about your worth

This conversation is an invitation to get curious instead of defensive and to build a life rooted in intention, context, and self-awareness rather than comparison.
