  • What Did Jesus Say About - Authority?
    Mar 23 2026

Every movie has the same storyline.

    There’s always someone in charge.

Sometimes the authority figure is the hero.

Sometimes the authority figure is the villain.

Think about how Hollywood frames authority.

If the leader is good, people cheer.

But if the leader is bad, people rebel.

    Authority itself isn’t the problem.

The real question is whether the authority can be trusted.

And that’s exactly how people think about authority today.

People say they don’t like authority.

    But that’s not really true....

People don’t mind authority when it protects them.

They only resist authority when it challenges them.

A police officer directing traffic is helpful.

A police officer pulling you over for speeding is suddenly “oppressive.”

In this episode of The Red-Letter Crusade, Pastor Bob Thibodeau shares a powerful message on “The Word.” He reminds us that Jesus’ words aren’t just history—they’re alive, filled with life and power to change us today...

Pastor Bob challenges us to go beyond just hearing Scripture and to let it take root in our hearts so our lives reflect Jesus. With his down-to-earth style and a touch of humor, he shows why feeding on God’s Word is just as essential as daily bread. This message will encourage you to make the Word a priority and live it out every day.

  • What Did Jesus Say About...Money?
    Mar 16 2026

Let me start with something you may not have noticed before.

Movies have been quietly teaching us what to believe about money for years.

They don’t preach it from a pulpit.

They don’t explain it in a classroom.

But the message is there if you watch closely.

It shows up again and again in the stories we watch.

In most movies, the villain is wealthy.

    The greedy billionaire.

    The corrupt corporate executive.

The powerful business tycoon trying to control the world.

Meanwhile the hero is usually the poor kid.

    The struggling orphan.

The underdog who has nothing but a good heart.

The person who has very little but somehow still does the right thing.

Think about superhero movies for a moment.

They follow this pattern almost perfectly...

  • What DId Jesus Say About...Judgement?
    Mar 9 2026

We started this series with one simple conviction:

If Jesus said it — that settles it.

This entire series exists for one reason: to let Jesus speak for Himself. Not church tradition. Not denominational filters. Not cultural trends. Not social media theology. Just the red-letter words of Jesus. That needs to be our final authority. Amen.

So far, well, let me give you a brief review of where we are at:

In Message One, we asked: What did Jesus say about the End Times?

And we discovered something sobering — Jesus spoke less about predicting dates - and more about endurance, deception, readiness, and faithfulness.

In Message Two, we turned the spotlight back to where it belongs: His Own Words. We examined why the red letters are not commentary on the Gospel — they are the Gospel. Paul’s letters help us understand the Gospel, that’s commentary — but only Jesus’ words ARE the Gospel. There IS a difference. We need to stop relying on commentary and relying on Jesus’ own words to understand WHAT JESUS SAID. Amen? Are you with me?

In Message Three, we asked: What did Jesus say about Following Him? And we saw clearly — following Jesus is not casual belief. It is surrender. Denial of self. Taking up the cross. Obedience that costs us “something.”

And now… today’s question is: What did Jesus say about Judgment?

Because if there is one phrase our culture loves to quote — it’s this one:

    “Judge not.”

People say it quickly. Confidently. Almost as a shield. If you confront them on something, they will be quick to say, “Jesus said JUDGE NOT.” Ok…

But here’s the problem. Most people who quote Jesus on judgment… have never actually studied what He said about JUDGMENT.

    Did Jesus forbid all judgment?

    Did He condemn discernment?

Or did He warn against something deeper — something far more dangerous than merely forming an opinion?

  • What Did Jesus Say About...Following Him
    Feb 2 2026

This series is called “What Did Jesus Say About…” for one reason — because in a world filled with commentary, opinion, and theological noise, we decided to strip everything back to the red letters. We are not asking what tradition emphasized. We are not asking what culture prefers. We are asking one question every week: What did Jesus actually say?

In Part One, we asked, What did Jesus say about the End Times? And we discovered something powerful. Jesus did not focus on dates, speculation, or timelines. He focused on readiness, endurance, deception, and obedience. The emphasis was not “figure it out” — it was “be faithful.”

In Part Two, we asked, What did Jesus say about His own words? And we saw clearly that Jesus placed His words above heaven and earth. He said they are spirit and life. He said they define truth. He said they will judge on the last day. That means His words are not optional — they are eternal.

And now we come to today’s question.

    If His words are eternal…

    If His words define truth…

    If His words will judge…

What did Jesus say about FOLLOWING Him?

    Because belief is one thing.

    Following is another.

  • What Did Jesus Say About...The End Times pt 2
    Jan 26 2026

Last time, we began this series by slowing everything down and asking one controlling question: What did Jesus actually say? Not what tradition assumed, not what headlines suggest, but what Jesus said in His own words.

We started by acknowledging why the end times generate so much confusion. Fear has a way of amplifying assumptions, and when anxiety leads interpretation, Scripture often becomes a mirror of our worries instead of a source of peace.

From there, we went back to the moment that started the entire conversation. Jesus stood in the Temple and declared that not one stone would be left upon another, a statement that shook the disciples because it signaled the collapse of the world they knew.

When they came to Him privately, they didn’t ask a vague question. They asked three distinct questions, rooted in that shocking prediction and framed by their understanding of covenant, authority, and the age they were living in.

We learned something essential in that moment. Jesus answers those questions in order, not all at once, and confusing the order is what creates confusion in the interpretation.

As Jesus continued, He gave warnings that were specific, practical, and urgent. He spoke of the abomination of desolation, of Jerusalem surrounded by armies, and of the necessity to flee, making it clear He was describing a real, historical crisis—not a symbolic riddle.

Those instructions alone told us something important. You do not flee resurrection, and you do not outrun the end of the world, but you can escape a city that is about to fall.

Then Jesus anchored everything with a statement that still unsettles many readers. He said plainly that this generationwould not pass away until all these things took place, and history confirms that within one generation, Jerusalem was destroyed exactly as He said.

Up to that point, Jesus spoke with clarity and precision. Signs were given, locations were named, and the timing was understandable to those who were listening.

Then everything changed with one word. Jesus said, “But concerning that day and hour…” and with that shift, He moved from a knowable judgment to an unknowable return.

  • What Did Jesus Say About...The End Times pt 1
    Jan 19 2026

We live in a time when everyone seems to have an opinion about Jesus—what He meant, what He would say today, and what He probably didn’t mean. Books are written, videos are posted, timelines are drawn, charts are published, and fear is often amplified. Yet in all of that noise, one question rarely slows us down enough to answer honestly:

    What did Jesus actually say?

Not what we assume He meant. Not what tradition has repeated. Not what modern events are projected onto His words.

If Jesus is Lord—and He is—then His words carry the highest authority. Not commentary about Him, but the words from Him.

That is the purpose of this series: What Did Jesus Say About…

This is not a series designed to attack denominations, dismantle faith, or mock sincere believers. It is a series designed to return clarity to confusion by letting Jesus speak for Himself. Each week we will begin with His red-letter words, read them in context, and allow Scripture to interpret Scripture.

And we begin where confusion, fear, and speculation are loudest.

    THE END TIMES!

  • Inside the Room But Outside the Kingdom
    Jan 12 2026

So here’s the question I want to lay on the table at the very beginning, and I don’t want you to answer it too fast.

If you stood before the King today, would you be welcomed as a guest… or exposed as unprepared?

And what if the difference isn’t what you’ve done—but what you’re wearing.

Now I know how that sounds.

But that’s exactly where Jesus takes us in Matthew 22, because this parable starts as a celebration and ends like a warning label.

It begins with a wedding, an invitation, a table set, and everything prepared.

Jesus says, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who gave a wedding feast for his son.”

That tells us right away God isn’t trying to sell us on religion, He’s inviting us into relationship.

A wedding isn’t a business deal, it’s covenant, union, and joy.

    And notice something else.

The feast is not in question, the son is not in question, and the King’s generosity is not in question.

The only question in the parable is the guest’s response.
