Hey friends! Welcome back to "Reimagining Our Faith"! We are continuing to learn from some of the later years of Joseph’s life. Today, we are thinking about names – a little twist from what we’ve been talking about.

Welcome back to "Reimagining Our Faith"! We are continuing to learn from some of the later years of Joseph’s life. Today, we learn from Joseph’s brother, Reuben, and their father, Jacob. In Genesis 42:37–38, Reuben tries to convince his father Jacob to let Benjamin (the youngest of 12 sons) travel to Egypt by offering Reuben’s own sons as aguarantee for Benjamin’s safety. But Jacob refuses. Having already lost Joseph (he thinks, at least), Jacob cannot bear the thought of losing another son. His fear and grief overwhelm him, and he clings tightly to what he has left.
