So what actually makes someone an influencer? And why does the word give us the ick?

This week, we’re getting into the world of golf content creation, brand partnerships, and the sometimes awkward reality of being labelled an “influencer” when all you really wanted to do was share your love for golf.

We talk about working with brands, why we won’t promote something just because there’s money involved, and why staying true to our values matters more than a freebie or a fancy sponsorship deal.

Because at the end of the day, are we here to influence people… or just make good golf content with people we actually like?

Let’s get into it. 🎙️

It started with golf. Then came the obsession. Then somehow… Skyball happened.

This week, we’re properly introducing ourselves and getting into how we found golf, how it completely took over our lives, and how two very different people somehow trauma-bonded over a tiny white ball.

We talk about where we came from, what golf has given us (and taken from us 🥲), why we wanted to create Skyball, and the kind of golf community we actually want to be part of.

Basically, if you’ve been wondering who are these two and why did they start a golf podcast?

At least, that’s what people keep telling us.

So why are millions of people completely obsessed with it?

This week, we get into golf’s “boring” reputation, why the game can look painfully serious from the outside, and whether golf has an image problem… or whether everyone else just doesn’t get it yet.
