About this listen

Lucy and Karen, two 40-somethings, are always chatting about life, and all that it has to throw at them, and now want to share their raw, honest conversations with you. Their journey of finding their own voices, self-discovery and healing is something many of us can relate to. We all possess a unique power within us, but life’s trials often knock us off course. They have the tools, the courage to speak up and simply say it as it is, so you might feel seen, and understood and gain practical tools and techniques for self-discovery and personal growth during the changes we experience.

Turning 50 can feel like a private revolution: the moment you realise you’re done performing, done shrinking, and done saying yes when you mean no. We’re two middle-aged coaches and friends, and we’re standing on the edge of a new life stage with equal parts reflection and anticipation. What we keep coming back to is this: midlife isn’t a fade-out. It’s a power shift.

We can look back at our own life stages and reflect on how amazing we were, and what we have yet to come. We can share our struggles, and also empower and champion women of all ages.

We celebrate Karen’s 50th and unpack what it takes to believe in your own dreams again. Vision boards, fear, healing from a tough decade, and the determination to follow desire with practical action all come into it. We also zoom out to the stages of womanhood, including the maiden years, girlhood conditioning, puberty arriving early, and the social pressure that teaches girls to edit themselves. Along the way we share real-life moments of parenting, independence, control in partnership, and what it looks like to choose self-care, midlife health, and truth without apology.

Whatever age you are, come and sit with us. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a nudge, and leave a review so more women can find the conversation. What are you ready to stop tolerating in your next decade?

We sit with the shock of a widely reported online “r*pe academy” and what it reveals about drugging, consent, and the scale of misogyny online. We share personal stories, name the anger and exhaustion women carry, and get practical about safety, parenting, and what men must do to stop rape culture.

    • reacting to the reporting, the numbers, and why shock matters
    • how drugging and spiking trauma lives in the body and mind
    • why women feel unsafe even at home
    • the link between objectification, entitlement, and online grooming spaces
    • teaching consent, respect, and what healthy attraction looks like
    • parenting and digital boundaries around gaming, p*rn, and VR
    • practical due diligence, trusting instincts, and noticing relationship shifts
    • what men can do, calling out mates, intervening early, involving police

Just tune in, listen to your instincts.
You will know when something is safe or not.
And if you're not sure, treat it as unsafe.
