Created through Scars and Stripes Inc., Unfiltered provides a platform for honest conversations about military service, transitioning back into civilian life, homelessness, mental health, suicide prevention, addiction and recovery, relationships, anger, financial struggles, navigating the VA, and the everyday challenges veterans and their families face. This isn’t about portraying veterans as broken, helpless, or statistics. It’s about real people, real scars, real struggles, and real victories. The goal is to have conversations that others may be afraid to have, challenge the stigma surrounding asking for help, connect veterans with resources, and remind people that prevention starts long before someone reaches a crisis. No scripts. No sugarcoating. No judgment. Just veterans, advocates, community partners, and real people having real conversations.
