  • Rotten Egg
    Jan 29 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

How good is good enough to go to Heaven? Well, someone once answered this question to me with a batch of chocolate chip cookies. You can put the highest quality of ingredients in the batter; but if you use just one rotten egg, it ruins the whole batch. Just like a bad egg in a cookie batch, even one sin ruins our chances of getting into heaven with a perfect and holy God. Habakkuk says that God cannot tolerate our sin. But despite this, there is good news! God loves us, and wants to save us from our sin. So while we are not good enough to go to heaven on our own works, Jesus lived a perfect life and offered Himself as a sacrifice in our place. What we have to do is accept God's gift of grace! So, stop trying to work your way into Heaven. Instead, place your faith in the work that Jesus did for you on the cross. If you need to know more, visit sharelife.today.

  • A Just Judge
    Jan 28 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Let's suppose I stood before a judge with fifty thousand parking tickets; and in my opportunity to speak, I asked the judge, "Your Honor, would you please let me go? I promise I’ll be a perfect driver from now on." Do you think that judge should declare me free? If he or she did, they couldn’t be considered a just judge. The reason I share this illustration is that it is the same decision God is faced with when looking at our sin. Yes, He loves us and doesn't want to punish us; but on the other hand, He is just and must punish sin. Do you see the problem? Well, God solved this problem in the person of Jesus Christ, who lived an absolutely perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and all we have to do is put our trust in Jesus alone to be declared righteous in God's sight. What amazing grace — that Jesus would do that for us! For more, visit our website at sharelife.today.

  • You Can Be Certain
    Jan 26 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

What are you completely certain about? You can be sure the sun will rise to the east and set to the west. You can be sure that one plus one will always equal two. And you can be absolutely certain that you cannot get into Heaven because of the good things you've done. Now, before you write that off as a calloused statement or simply an opinion, consider what the Bible says. The Bible tells us that no one is good, not even one. It also says to be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect. It is a real problem for us if no one is good, yet we are expected to be perfect. We simply cannot do it! This problem is solved by the Person of Jesus Christ who was both God and Man - perfect, just and full of grace. You can be certain that placing your faith in Jesus is enough for eternal salvation. Have you accepted that grace? Find out more by visiting sharelife.today.

  • From Seeing to Going
    Jan 23 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

When God gives us new eyes, He also gives us new steps. The Apostle Paul spoke of a deep burden for those who didn’t yet know Christ. His heart moved his feet. Colossians tells us to make the most of every opportunity, and Jude reminds us to show mercy, meeting people where they are. Sharing the Gospel is about obedience to what Christ has called us to do. We need to ask God to show us what He is doing, and then join Him in it. As He leads and guides, He gives us opportunities to open our mouths and to share the best news ever—and that’s the Gospel! When compassion shapes our vision and drives us to action, everyday conversations become divine appointments. Jesus has already done the saving work through His death and resurrection. Our role is simply to go and tell all we can. Today, ask God for new eyes to see the lost around you and courage to share His hope. To get started, visit sharelife.today.

  • The Value of One
    Jan 22 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

In Luke 15, Jesus tells us three powerful stories about something lost: a sheep, a coin, and a son. And in each story, the message is clear. No one is insignificant. Heaven rejoices over just one person that turns to God. Jesus shows us a Shepherd who leaves the 99 to find the one, a woman who scours her house for a single coin, and a father who waits and runs to welcome his child home. That’s how much God values one life. And this is why Jesus went to the cross. Our Savior gave His life so that we could come to Him in repentance and receive the gift of eternal life. One by one, we come. And when we truly understand the value God places on every person, we’re moved to share the Gospel with patience, love, and joy with those around us. Today, ask God to show the one in your life that you need to share the Good News with. For help, visit sharelife.today.

  • God’s Heart for the Lost
    Jan 21 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Have you ever wondered how God feels about those who are far from Him? Well, Jesus made it clear in Luke nineteen when He said He came to seek and to save that which is lost. God’s heart is not one of condemnation, but compassion. Through the prophet Ezekiel, the Lord says that He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. In Second Peter, God reminds us that He is patient, not wanting anyone to perish. This is why Jesus came. He gave His life on the cross and rose again so that anyone who believes in Him could be forgiven and have everlasting life. Like the father in Luke fifteen who ran to the prodigal son returning home and embraced him with open arms, Jesus welcomes and celebrates all those who place their trust in Him alone. Remember that every person you encounter matters deeply to God. Ask Him to use you to share His love and truth. And for help in getting started, visit sharelife.today.

  • The Condition of the Lost
    Jan 20 2026

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Why does vision matter when it comes to sharing our faith? Well, because Scripture tells us the reality of lostness. Isaiah says that all of us, like sheep, have gone astray. Ephesians reminds us that apart from Christ, people are spiritually dead in sin. And Second Corinthians explains that many are blinded to the truth. Understanding this changes how we respond to the lost around us. When we see people as Jesus does, our frustration turns into compassion. And that’s why the Gospel matters so much. Jesus stepped into our brokenness, took our sin on the cross, and rose again to bring life to those who are spiritually dead. We ourselves were in the exact same spot before Jesus transformed our heart. When we remember where we came from, we’re moved to lovingly share the Good News with others. Today, ask God to give you eyes to see the spiritual condition of those around you. For help, visit sharelife.today.
