  • 75: Emily Schmitz on Her 2026 UTMB Podium
    Sep 30 2026

So excited to welcome Emily Schmitz to the podcast. She's a pro trail runner who most recently finished third at UTMB, one of the most prestigious and competitive mountain ultramarathons in the world. She found her love for the mountains and trail running in Colombia, and now calls Chamonix home. She told us it was surreal to cross that finish line knowing she was on the podium, and we deep dive into the race itself, what went well, and things that made the difference. We also chat about her journey as an athlete, with the Golden Trail Series as a key chapter, and talk about longevity, where the sport is headed, and what really matters when setting goals for yourself.

  • 74: Naomi Lang: 3 Seconds, One Incredible Race at OCC
    Sep 16 2026

So excited to welcome Naomi Lang to the podcast. She's a super talented mountain runner from Scotland, and a Salomon international athlete. She just finished second at UTMB's OCC, the 50k finals of the series, just three seconds behind first place! Naomi walks us through how she built up to this level and her longest race ever, and what it was like racing with such competitive athletes, and friends, in the final kilometres. She also tells us more about growing up with an outdoorsy family and friends, how that shaped her love of sport and the mountains, and how her path to becoming a pro for Salomon has felt like a series of gradual steps toward something she truly loves. Can't wait for you to listen to our chat!

  • 73: Lorna Mann on Cheering at Lorna's Corner, Self-Discovery & Chasing Dream Races
    Sep 2 2026

So happy to welcome Lorna Mann to the podcast. She has a strong passion for trail running, and a real gift for making people feel seen, and supported. We talk about falling in love with Chamonix, UTMB, the community, and being there to cheer everyone on at Lorna's Corner, from the elites to the back of the pack. We also dive into her personal journey in the sport: the hard work, the self-discovery, and how the goal of running OCC set it all in motion, leading her to complete dream races and spend incredible time in the mountains. We touch on the mental work of feeling like you "belong" on a start line, and how having a goal doesn't have to mean big pressure. Enjoy the episode!
