Journalist Manndeep Singh talks exclusively to Triman Singh from Windsor city of Canada about historic inauguration of Canada’s first “Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Diversity Garden”.The Windsor Sikh Community has shared a detailed account of a landmark moment in Canadian interfaith and human-rights history: the inauguration of the Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Diversity Garden—the first memorial garden of its kind in Canada—unveiled at Captain John Wilson Park in Windsor, Ontario.The ceremony, held on 24th November 2025, commemorated the 350th anniversary of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji (1621–1675), revered worldwide as the Protector of Humanity and All of Creation for his supreme sacrifice to safeguard human dignity, religious freedom, and the right to diversity.This initiative was made possible through a partnership between the Windsor Sikh Community and the City of Windsor, supported by interfaith leaders, civic institutions, and community organizations who gathered to honour and inaugurate this historic achievement.
