    The NHL coaching carousel continues with two notable hires. The Toronto Maple Leafs have named Jim Hiller as their new head coach, a key move in the organization's offseason overhaul under new general manager John Chayka and senior adviser Mats Sundin. The Vegas Golden Knights have promoted Ryan Craig to his first NHL head coaching role. After serving on Vegas' Stanley Cup-winning coaching staff and spending the past three seasons leading Henderson in the AHL, Craig now takes over behind the Golden Knights' bench.

  • Vegas Golden Kights Media Availability, Leafs & Flyers Make a Trade

    John Tortorella will not return behind the bench of the Vegas Golden Knights next season after coaching the team to a Stanley Cup Final, as announced by general manager Kelly McCrimmon. The Golden Knights had their end of season media availability, hear from: Jack Eichel, Carter Hart, Mark Stone, Mitch Marner, Brayden McNabb & Rasmus Andersson.

    Plus, a major trade between Toronto and Philadelphia sees Joseph Woll heading to the Flyers, while the Maple Leafs acquire Samuel Ersson, Emil Andrae, and a 2026 third-round pick. Hear from both general mangers John Chayka & Daniel Briere on the deal.

  • The Carolina Hurricanes Are Stanley Cup Champions

    Twenty years after their first Stanley Cup championship, the Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup champions once again. Carolina completed a dominant postseason with a 3-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6, finishing the playoffs with an impressive 16-3 record. Brandon Bussi recorded a 22-save shutout, while Jackson Blake, Taylor Hall, and Nikolaj Ehlers provided the offense.

    Captain Jordan Staal was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP after a memorable postseason performance, adding another championship to his decorated career. Behind the bench, Rod Brind'Amour continued his Hurricanes legacy, becoming one of the few people in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup with the same franchise as both a player and a coach.

  • Hurricanes Even Up the Stanley Cup Final Series 2-2

    The Stanley Cup Final is all square at 2-2 after the Carolina Hurricanes earned a crucial 5-3 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 at T-Mobile Arena. Jordan Staal scored twice, including the game-winner with 13:28 left in the third period, and continued his remarkable run with goals in all four games of the series. Staal becomes the first player since Mike Bossy in 1982 to score in each of the first four games of a Stanley Cup Final and just the fourth to accomplish the feat in the NHL expansion era. The series shifts back to Lenovo Center for a pivotal Game 5 on Thursday night.
