Scotland is going back to the World Cup.

In this episode of Soccer Bedtime Stories, we tell the inspiring story of Michael Olise, the quiet and creative winger who rose from the streets of West London to Crystal Palace, Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga, and the French national team.

Born in Hammersmith and raised in Hayes, Michael learned soccer with a ball at his feet, house walls as teammates, and his younger brother Richard chasing after him. With family roots in England, Nigeria, France, and Algeria, Olise carried a rich multicultural story into a football journey that was never simple.

Before becoming one of the most exciting young attacking players in world soccer, Michael faced setbacks. Chelsea released him, struggled to find a home at Manchester City, and had to rebuild his path at Reading FC. There, his talent began to shine, leading to the EFL Young Player of the Season award, a move to the Premier League with Crystal Palace, and eventually a dream transfer to Bayern Munich.

This football bedtime story for kids and families follows Michael Olise’s journey from quiet street footballer to France international. It is a story about creativity, rejection, resilience, patience, and the power of staying true to yourself.
