In this third episode of Social Miscues, Randall and Cathy pick through the wreckage of the Shenzhen Open, where most of the big names went out 5–4 and Wu Yize came out the other side as champion and world number two, Yuan Sijun’s eight-foul decider against Jimmy Robertson, Joe O'Connor's challange to pot the yellow in the middle from the jaws, Canada at the Commonwealth cue sports championships, and a plug for Snookanoid that is absolutely an ad despite the show having no sponsors—plus the usual unearned confidence, as they take on a twenty-one-item list of discussion topics that was never going to survive contact with its own hosts.

  • Episode 2 - Snooker Player Tier List and....wait, he's left-handed too??
    Sep 21 2026

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In this marginally less scuffed second episode of Social Miscues, Randall and Cathy discuss Jak Jones winning the British Open, Judd Trump losing the world number one ranking to Zhao Xintong because of a prize he won two years ago, Chang Bingyu's clearance of the colours to end Zhao's perfect record in finals, Bai Yulu reclaiming the top of the women's game, the 76-minute frame that Liam Highfield probably still hasn't recovered from, Ali Carter calming his nerves by flying an aeroplane, Jimmy White qualifying for something at 64, whether left-handed players are quietly running the sport, and a tier list that gets away from them almost immediately—plus the usual unearned confidence, as they once again struggle to get through a rundown they wrote themselves.

  • Episode 1 - The Winds of Chang
    Aug 30 2026

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.

In this scuffed first episode of Social Miscues, Cathy and Randall discuss Chang Bingyu's triumph at the Wuhan Open, some of the ongoing happenings with the upcoming snooker season in Canada following this summer's Canadian Championships, Liam Highfield's haircuts, the relative significance and insignificance of a player's choice of waistcoat, and other shallow analysis as they attempt to slog their way through an episode, regretting the decision to do this at all with each passing moment.
