Some Dare Call It Conspiracy is an investigative podcast examining conspiracy culture from the inside out.

Hosted by Brent Lee and Neil Sanders, the show explores how conspiracy narratives form, how they spread, and why they are so effective at capturing attention and loyalty. Both hosts spent years immersed in conspiracy belief before walking away, giving them first-hand insight into how these movements operate, evolve, and entrench themselves.

Drawing on lived experience, deep research, expert voices, and a distinctly British sense of humour, the podcast combines serious analysis with sharp, often self-deprecating commentary. The focus is on systems, incentives, and influence, rather than punching down at ordinary people caught up in belief.

The show is best known for its long-form Deep Dives into specific conspiracy narratives, commentary on conspiracy influencers and alternative media ecosystems, and interviews with journalists, researchers, and insiders working in this space.

Conspiracy thinking is no longer fringe. It shapes politics, public health, and personal relationships. This podcast exists to help listeners understand that landscape with clarity, context, and a sense of proportion.

About the Hosts

Brent Lee is a writer, producer, and former conspiracy activist whose decision to leave the movement, and to speak openly about that process, attracted widespread media attention. On the podcast, Brent focuses on production, creative direction, and analysis grounded in lived experience.

Neil Sanders is a writer and researcher who was once regarded as a respected figure within the conspiracy world. Before leaving, he authored books on mind control and MKULTRA-related narratives and hosted his own programme on David Icke’s Ickonic network. Neil now leads on research and analysis for the show.

Together, they bring an insider’s understanding, investigative rigour, and a refusal to take grift seriously, even when the subject matter is heavy.

Was Andy Pero really subjected to trauma-based mind control and transformed into a genetically enhanced super soldier?

In our new series, we read Project Superman and investigate the extraordinary story behind the Super Soldier conspiracy theory.

Brent Lee and Neil Sanders examine Pero’s claims of secret government experiments, suppressed memories, enhanced abilities and covert mind-control programmes. We trace the origins of the mythology, assess the evidence and attempt to separate documented history from conspiracy folklore.

Some Dare Call It Conspiracy is an award-winning podcast that examines conspiracy theories, misinformation, and moral panics — not from the outside, but from the inside.

The show is co-created and hosted by Brent Lee and Neil Sanders, both former insiders in the conspiracy world who spent years immersed in conspiracy belief, alternative media, and grassroots activism before walking away. Their experience gives them first-hand insight into how conspiracy narratives are built, why they feel so convincing, and why leaving those communities can be difficult.

Drawing on lived experience, deep research, and expert interviews — alongside a distinctly British sense of humour — the podcast breaks down conspiracy culture with clarity and bite. Episodes vary in format, but all focus on who benefits when misinformation spreads, how harm is done, and how bad ideas gain influence.

The result is a show that is sceptical without being smug, serious about real-world consequences without losing its edge, and unafraid to call out grift and power where it thrives.
