In Revelation chapter 7, John sees four angels holding back the four winds of the earth, the servants of God being sealed, the 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, and a great multitude standing before the throne and before the Lamb.

Pastor Wayne Dinwiddie, Tyson Durr, and Brandon Christian continue their verse by verse study through Revelation and take a closer look at the 144,000, the twelve tribes of Israel, the great multitude, and how Revelation 7 connects with other passages of Scripture.

The conversation also goes beyond prophecy and numbers. What does it mean to follow the Lamb? What does it look like for our lives to actually reflect what we say we believe? And how do we recognize when we have started to drift?

Revelation 7

In Revelation chapter 6, the Lamb begins opening the seals of the book, revealing a series of judgments that will come upon the earth. As the fifth and sixth seals are opened, John sees the souls of those who were slain for the Word of God, a great earthquake, the sun becoming black, the moon becoming as blood, and the rulers and people of the earth hiding from the wrath of the Lamb.

In this episode of Standing in the Gap, Pastor Wayne Dinwiddie, Tyson Durr, and Brandon Christian continue their verse-by-verse study through the Book of Revelation and take a closer look at the fifth and sixth seals.

The discussion explores the coming judgment, the changing of earthly rulership, what it means for believers to be ruling and reigning with Christ, and the responsibility Christians have to live faithfully while they still have the opportunity to reach others with the Gospel.

The conversation also takes a look at modern technology and artificial intelligence, our growing dependence on phones and the internet, the days of Noah, Genesis 6, and the possibility of both literal and symbolic fulfillment in biblical prophecy.

Throughout the episode, the group comes back to the importance of sacrifice, faithfulness, and looking toward the eternal reward rather than becoming consumed by the things happening in the world around us.

In Revelation chapter 6, John sees the Lamb open the first six seals of the book. As each seal is opened, four horses appear, bringing conquest, war, famine, death, and judgment upon the earth.

In this episode of Standing in the Gap, Pastor Wayne Dinwiddie, Tyson Durr, and Brandon Christian continue their verse-by-verse study through the Book of Revelation and explore the meaning and symbolism found throughout Revelation 6.

The discussion covers the four horsemen, the white horse, false peace, the red horse and war, the black horse and famine, and the pale horse whose rider is called Death, with Hell following after him.

The group also examines how Revelation 6 connects with other passages of Scripture, including Daniel 8, Ezekiel 14, Proverbs, Isaiah, Luke 10, and 2 Thessalonians 2.

Throughout the episode, the conversation returns to the sovereignty of God and the reminder that nothing happens until the Lamb opens the seals. The group discusses why Christians should not become consumed by fear or current events, but should continue doing the work God has given them and sharing the Gospel.

The episode also looks at deception, false peace, and the urgency of responding to God's truth while the opportunity is still available.
