Stick to United with Wayne Rooney is back for episode seven, and this week Dimitar Berbatov joins Wayne and Mark Goldbridge! 👹

Manchester United legend Berbatov sits down with his former teammate to look back on their time together at Old Trafford, brought to you by Disney+.

Wayne reveals just how excited he was when United signed Berbatov, while the pair remember competing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez in one of the most exciting forward lines in the club’s history.

Berbatov takes us inside his dramatic deadline-day move from Tottenham, revealing why the transfer became a “nightmare”, how Manchester City tried to sign him at the last minute and why he even gave up part of his salary to complete his dream move to United.

The pair also revisit the 2011 Champions League final, with Berbatov reflecting on the pain of being left out of the squad and Wayne revealing the shock among the United players when they discovered he wasn’t involved. Plus, Berba reacts to Rooney asking to leave the club in 2010 and explains why his response was simply: “No problem, I’ll score the goals.”

Elsewhere, Berbatov discusses the art of the first touch, why “football is a simple game for smart people”, the problems facing the current Manchester United side and his thoughts on former teammate Michael Carrick as manager. With the honeymoon period over, can Carrick bring the good times back to Old Trafford?

Stick to United with Wayne Rooney is back for episode six! 👹

Mark Goldbridge joins Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney to react to another difficult week for United, brought to you by Disney+.

Following the draw at Fulham, Wayne describes it as United’s worst performance of the season, while the pair discuss the growing pressure on Michael Carrick and whether he can turn things around.

Wayne questions the lack of running, fight and intensity in the team, responding strongly to Matheus Cunha’s comments about players not running and insisting his United sides would never have been bottom of the running stats. Mark also questions how long Carrick can survive, while Wayne admits that if anyone ultimately pays for United’s problems, it will be the manager.

The conversation also turns to United’s recruitment, with questions over Andrey Santos and Carlos Baleba, before Wayne explains what Carrick can work on during the international break. The pair also discuss the club’s ownership, why Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox should face supporters, and the characters United need inside the dressing room.

Wayne also discusses JJ Gabriel’s future and reveals why people close to the situation have expected his potential move to Spain.
